very excited to see that this exists, and to try it! after using the original for over a decade i can't wait to have a fresh experience with it. thank you.
I like this mod a lot but i notice that the face doesn’t change when i’m using skysights, only the body. I figured that it was the facegen but when i try to delete it the gray face bug appears.
is there a way to fix this besides exporting by ck?
I like this mod a lot, but for some reason Miraak doesn't play any greeting dialogue when I have this enabled :( Other than that, it's v nice to have Miraak interact with the player and the world more :)
If I have the older mod, do you know if it's safe to install it in an ongoing game or I need a new game? I've yet to recruit him though. Also this seems to add some textures and meshes, that might be incompatible with other mod I have (Miraak Reincarnation, that one was like an add on of the Miraak Follower mod and included an esp for the 1.7 version, so I don't think it's compatible with yours). Also it looks like that mod is not in Nexus anymore (sad), I'm gonna try to test it as soon as possible and tell you what happened anyway; maybe if I only replace the textures and meshes could work. Thanks for sharing and taking care of this great mod, Miraak sounds amazing.
It shouldn't have any issues being installed, none that I've detected anyhow. I made sure to stay away from changing any scripts besides adding lines with a few basic follower/marriage ones (such as open inventory, marriage dialogue for money and cooked meal). It's still the same 1.7 version of the MF mod with nothing heavily edited besides dialogue.
I would suggest backing up your save before adding this mod and seeing if it changes or messes up anything in-game, after playing around for a little while.
Sorry, wish I could help with the Miraak Reincarnation mod however I don't have access to it now that the mod has been removed from Nexus.
Load Miraak Reincarnation after this mod. Let the mod manager overwrite the mesh and texture files which are for the head and face. Then use an outfit manager to allow his helmet to be removed so you can see his new Reincarnated face. Otherwise, there isn't much point in installing Miraak Reincarnation if you can't even see him under all those clothes. But anyway, the two mods work great together.
Hi, thanks for making this. I'm having a bit of problem with the marriage dialogue. After putting on the Amulet of Mara and talking to him, Miraak will react like he acknowledges the amulet (he says "ah") but there's no dialogue to proceed with the marriage as shown in your video. I'm also getting double "I need you to do something" options but this hasn't been a problem for me so far. I've the patch esp lower than the main file and I'm using this appearance overhaul for Miraak: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/88638. Saving and reloading doesn't work and neither does exiting and relaunching the game.
Might be a mod conflict getting in the way of the custom marriage dialogue, I tried adding Miraak husbando into my load order placed after my mod and everything seems to be fine the "interested in my necklace are you?" dialogue shows up.
I'd recommend doing a trial and error search in your load order. Keep the MiraakFollower, Dialogue patch and Miraak Husbando esp files active and disable other mods in your load order few at a time, then try to talk to him.
Keep disabling more mods in your load order each time until you see if the marriage dialogue plays out properly when talking to him with the Amulet of Mara. Then you'll know if another mod is the culprit of this problem.
I started a new game last night with a different Miraak overhaul: Handsome and Miraakulous Miraak (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/100723) and the problem is gone. He has the marriage dialogue now and it proceeded as it should. I can't say for certain it's a conflict with the Miraak Husbando file and for now I don't have time to test as you suggest. Another thing is, this new game is a completed legendary save file from another user, while my previous one with the marriage dialogue problem is something I played through by myself. I'm not sure if it affected anything.
I'm still getting double "I need you to do something" options but this doesn't bother me much. Thanks!
I don't use those mods, I've tried this mod with EFF and NFF and those seemed to have worked fine,. I ran into one issue with dismissing him in EFF however where he would continue to follow me. Going into EFF MCM and clicking the "Clear System" however remedied this.
Also setting a residence with EFF didn't have any issues. I think mods that have a similar function like the two of yours should be fine.
