Change-LOG
Version 0.41 - Fixed the normal maps inverted green channel (thank you Dave)
Version 0.4 - Added FOMOD installer. You can now pick between foot prints or dirt snow for dirtsnow01
Version 0.3 - Reworked the mod, including textures and plugin - Some of the textures have changed, some have not - Now using bc3 compression the file sizes are a lot smaller - Only 1 resolution available now, 4k diffuse and 2k normals
Version 0.2 - Fixed the issue with LOD brightness - Removed Blended Roads from the download (still a hard requirement, however) - Updated the mod-page
Just to be clear on your instructions Odin: I have Majestic Mountains Darkside, Blended Roads, Blended Roads Redone LE. I simply install your mod after all these.
You don't have an .esp in your mod anymore so that part of your instructions should probably be edited. My bad - you do have an .esp - so does that replace any others? I can look in XEdit.
Looks like with the Discord and the handle of odinsmods you are getting set up to do more. <thumbs up>. I think I have seen you on Dave's Cantina.
i wouldn't recommend you blended roads redone my friends ,if you haven't noticed some roads are amazing and great compared to B.roads only ,but some others have terrible meshes issues ,some roads tend to shine night or day
I'm pretty new to all these landscape mods. So it supposed to work like better dynamic snow right? Will it be compatible with Embers mod? I know there was a compatiblity patch for better dynamic snow included in Embers.
the modification needs to be redone and white snow too - in some files, instead of snow, there is an empty space that does not generate terrain, there is no snow - there is no volume in the photoshop screenshot is ugly
Textures are working, but the problem is in the DLC2 cells of the esp file. I found two different ways to prevent the crush of the Mirak temple. 1.solution: Shadow problem is solved with the help of Fluffy Snow SSE without odin esp. I also recommend using Better Dynamic Snow SE. 2.Solution: You can use this esp for the Temple of Miraak. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yzUaYpFtFgriq8NYfA0-QohzsY5h5D34/view?usp=sharing
Just a question for anyone that might know, i installed your mod with your directives, then i ran my Xlodgen, Texgen, Dyndolod and finally occlusion. As a side note, I have Majestic mountains but sadly ive never been able to get the far distant snow to show on the mountains lod. i was hoping this mod would magically fix this but no.PS: Im no genius of modding, please forgive me. xD
That being said, i noticed that there are some little squares of brightness in the lods for the snowy areas and also the mountains.
Any suggestions on what i should be doing to fix that?
I seem to have a bit of a problem with brightness. I didn't realize this so far because apparently I first tested the mod at night only, and I haven't visited a snowy location at day for a while... Anyway, this is what it looks like at midday: http://www.kepfeltoltes.eu/images/2020/09/23/595glacies.png As a comparison, here is how it looks with reverting to my previous landscape mod: http://www.kepfeltoltes.eu/images/2020/09/23/901comparison.png So the snow is fine at night and in any shadow, but is horribly burnt in where a light-source directly hits it. Normally I use a SweetFX preset that only amplifies the issue, but it's disabled on these screenshots, so that is not the core source of the problem. I do use ELFX, but that's how far my lightning and weather mods go. DynDOLOD is generated with Lod Brightness set to 5. Is this normal? Can something be done with the snow's brightness?
Hmm, I'd like to avoid switching to an ENB, partly because of the larger FPS hit, and also because I already like the look of the SweetFX I use. Is it somehow possibly to manually remedy the snow textures, for example, can I somehow reduce their brightness? If I understand correctly, I could hand-edit .dds files with Gimp, which has a brightness filter, though this is how far my knowledge goes.

OdinSnowShader01 makes it better but God is that one ugly rock.

Example with and without ENB mod on overcast weather.

As you can see the snow is extreamly bright without ENB installed on a sunny weather.
