@Everyone I've decided to keep a working on update as I have for past mods.
Working on: 1) I'm still looking into fixing the stat problem. I'm doing this as I work on other projects and learn the differences between this and the past Bethesda creation kits. There are some different quirks I don't remember in F3 or Oblivion that are causing me to hold up. I prefer to figure it out on my own, but if I get too delayed I'll look into what other modders have done.
Right now the problem is finding when exactly you've changed your race. There is an event that handles that, but it doesn't seem to fire from an object script. I have several ideas on other ways, but it will take time to test them all. Still remember if you use this only for appearance changes then the stats are not a problem.
2) What next? On my list for this mod I'm trying to decide what other "Magic Books" such as this might be helpful.
@SpencerX It is exactly like the SetRaceMenu because it calls the race menu. Sadly there is only one menu. It is really annoying because they know modders use such things(at least since I started modding in F3 and Oblivion as I've seen it in each), but their support doesn't extend to creating access only to individual menus.
@HibikiR0984 I've not seen that. My character has at least 50 active effects and they are still there working after changes. However I don't have that luck one so it could be certain ones can be affected.
@Everyone Skyrim has all the commands to potentially fix the stat issue. Now it is just seeing if I can figure out the right/best combination to do it. I'll update as soon as I can.
I've heard that the showracemenu command can screw with active effects, like having Imperial Luck disappear after tweaking with your appearance and not your race. Dunno if it's temporary or permanent though.
Does this reset the appearance like with the setrace menu? because i'm looking for a way to change hair without the changing the face (on which i've spent a lot of time)
@Ceipher If this was Oblivion(or was that Fallout 3?) you could get the player's unmodified stats and then reset using those stats. I'm not sure if you can do something like that in Skyrim, but that is the approach I was going to look into if tgm doesn't work.
I'm afraid TGM doesn't work for me personally, some wiki users did report it working. I saw a mod on here that claimed to dodge the stat reset, but I havn't been able to find it/replicate the stat saving.
I'll have to double check as I didn't notice that, but it is quite possible.
Edit: Ah. I totally missed that. Which is a yes and a no. If you change the race it changes the stats, but doesn't reset them. If you use it to change your look it doesn't change them. That was what I used it for. I think I know a way to fix that. I'll see. Thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks I'll try that.
