Director's Tools
modification for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim game
created by Artisanix 2012/02/19

Description:

This modification adds two spells (powers) for player's character - Director's
Tools (self) and Director's Tools (target). Both when activated enable menu
where there's possible to select one of available options.

The menu of the former spell (self) allows insantly to change current
weather type, apply one of Imagespace Modifiers (screen effects),
cast various visual effects and effect shaders,
and to play some of loose idle animations by the player's character.
The number of available options is counted in hundreds.

The latter spell (target) allows some of these visual effects and shaders
to be applied on NPCs and creatures. It has some support for animations as well,
though with many limitations
(refer to the info in bottom section of this document).

This mod can be very useful for many players and modders.
It not only allows to create various effects in game in a real time
for interesting and picturesque screen shots, but may be also be used
as a "browser" of various shaders, visual and screen effects, weather types
and animations. The actual names in menu of such effects are the same
like editor IDs of these effects in Creation Kit - so it's easy to preview
how varius things really look in game then write down IDs of favorite effects
and use these in own mods later.

Installation:

Copy DirectorsTools.esp and DirectorsTools.bsa files to "Skyrim\Data" folder
(default path from Steam's main folder is: Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data).

In Skyrim Launcher choose "Data Files" and make sure
that checkbox near DirectorsTools.esp is selected.

Start the game and load your any save - the spells should be added
automatically. You'll find them in MAGIC -> POWER section.
You may also want to make them as Favourities
and bind to certain Quick Keys for easy of use.

Removal:

Delete the same files you copied previously during the installation proccess.

Known Issues / Compatibility:

This mod adds only a new stuff. It doesn't overwrite or change anything
from the original game thus incompatibility with other mods
has been reduced to minimum.

There are some restrictions related to animations if you try to cast the spell
on any NPC. Currently the Creation Kit does not allow to modify properties,
conditions and priorities of animation files. So if a certain NPC is in
an idle state then he will likely be playing any animation you cast on him.
That is not the case with "busy" NPC as any animations related to
his current activities will overwrite any animations cast on him.

The other issue may be with certain looping animations casted on
player's character. Some of those can not be reset by proper function
within this mod, so if your character is stuck and can't move
then just press the button which activates a combat state and draws a weapon.
