This mod is awesome! Just wanted to say thanks, has improved my characters look massively! And no bugs or anything to speak of. I'm using a 7b texture and mesh and it works like a charm. Endorsed.
NMBF only takes the regular female normal map and blurs it up a bit on the nose forehead and chin. I went a further than that and actually tried to up-res the normals and keep all the detail. That led me to have to hand paint tons of detail back in. This isn't just a simple blur-job. I had to work hard to get my results. It's just too bad that folks like yourself don't seem to notice the difference. :/
Yeah, i've been working on it. Problem is that i've somewhat forgotten how to achieve the results i pulled off with the female head, lol. I will continue to work on it though because i really liked how i got the females to look.
I'm trying to figure out what i'm going to do with this mod. I haven't done anything with it in so long and i think it needs an update. I think i have some ideas and hopefully i can do something with this.

I'm guessing with the new High-Res pack coming out that this mod has essentially become obsolete. I suppose that's not a bad thing considering all i was trying to do was offer a higher-res version of vanilla anyway. Now i can concentrate on my skin texturing skills so maybe once i get good enough at it that i can offer up some new/different HD skin textures of my own.

I looked at the new "High-Res" normals and they are marginally better than the original ones. Very strange that they'd release a high res pack and not really upscale something so important IMO. So, i guess that means this mod isn't completely useless anymore.
It looks like someone beat me to the punch with the males and it looks pretty strong. It's called "High Res Face Maps for Men by Geonox". Geonox is very good at texturing and it looks pretty darn good, plus he includes a face texture. If you don't feel like waiting for me to do mine, which is very understandable because i do things at the pace of a broke-leg turtle, then i would check his out. Here it is.
That said! i still do plan on doing my own work for the males because i see things in his version that i don't like. I'm exploring not only making new normals for the males but also an actual face texture. Thanks for your patience.

Please, please do the male normals next. There are like almost no mods out there that make the male characters look better and they're sorely lacking next to their women counterparts.
