Could you make another mod, compatible to this one here, in which the available perk point is unavailable until you take a trainer lesson to distribute the perk point in that trainers perk tree ? eg you want to put a perk point in two handed weapons, you have to take a lesson from vilkas to enable it. Sense is immersive and taking gold out of the game. classic.
Sorry but no. It may be possible to lock a perk point until you train but I'm not sure how you could possibly restrict the tree you're allowed to spend it in. Interesting and cool idea though, and it would force you to actually use trainers.
Fair enough, thanks for bringing my attention to it. I've never tried it before, but it does seem like the general consensus is that it is superior to Merge Plugins, I'll make an update on the main page to inform people of it.
Thanks for this mod. I loved using Experience, but the lack of compatibility with sleep to gain experience was quite a bother. This will be my preferred mod for my load order from now on. Endorsed
This mod has a few more options you can tweak to your liking in the MCM, and works well with Experience out of the box from my testing which is a mod I really enjoy and think pairs very well with Sleep to Level Up.
I'm not talking about Experience, I'm talking about "sleep to gain experience" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73001 What's the difference between this mod and "sleep to gain experience" ?
You only really have to sleep 1hr. in "Sleep to gain experience".That would be all I am aware of( besides the fact that its a skse plugin). I think I'm a-gonna take this one out for a test drive, so to speak.
I understood your question, while I personally haven't tried "Sleep to Gain Experience", from what I have heard, it doesn't completely work with "Experience" which is another mod I enjoy, so I think it's a perk of this one that that they are compatible. This mod also has a variety of options you can toggle or play with in the MCM in order to customize the mod to your liking, a slider for how long you have to sleep, how many perks you can receive per rest, how many levels you can receive per rest, an optional slider to adjust a cool down for the time you have to wait between level ups by resting. If you like Sleep to Gain Experience that's fine, there's nothing wrong with that, but I do recommend trying the mod to see if you like it :)
There are other differences besides what WindzStruct mentioned. Since I used to use Sleep to Gain Experience (StGXP) I can point them out. StGXP prevents you from getting Skill XP until you sleep. Sleep to Level Up (StLU) still allows you to level up your skills and only prevents you from getting Level XP until you sleep. Another difference is that this mod forces you to level up as soon as you wake whereas StGXP allows you to level up any time after you get enough Skill XP to level up. Use whichever mod takes the approach that you prefer.
