Alright everyone, a bit of an update. I got myself Skyrim SE on the Steam sale, and I'm going to slowly (!!!) get familiarized with SKSE64 and Skyrim SE mod creation. I'm not making any promises on when I'll finish it, because learning takes time. So, here's two important things: 1) If you want to make SSE version of the mod, contact me through NexusMods! So that I don't waste my time, and so that I can aid you with what I already have. 2) If you have experience creating SKSE64 plugins and want to help me with this mod, contact here too!
I'd be super interested in integrating xVASynth into a mod like this, if anyone would be willing to help me with the SSE port side of things (of this base mod, I can handle swapping out the Microsoft voices for the Skyrim voices)
That sounds great! I can't help you with the SSE port because I don't know anything about it (but I'm already asking some people. If I find someone I'll send you a message). But I have a question or request: Is it possible to use the voice of Geralt of Rivia from The Wichter 3 for this mod in combination with xVASynth?
Do you have any update on the progress? Are u making it? I would love to have it in SSE Cus i am thinking of making a fully roleplay playthrough stream and would love to be able to use this as im a man and only play female characters ;D
@ jfmherokiller: Thanks for working on the SSE version! <3 I know nothing about coding so I don't think I can help, but maybe someone on the r/skyrimmods reddit can get the speech delay working.
This is exactly what I was searching for -- some way to voice all that dead dialogue that is usually just text on the screen. The only odd thing I noticed was that the male voice somehow sounds a bit more realistic, less "computery" than the female voice, which sounds a bit like the Google Girl. Maybe one day someone will come up with computer-generated voices that actually sound human. Then this mod will be phenomenal. It's still excellent, but does need a bit of love.
There are a few high quality Text To Speech Voices out there on the internet. If you have the extra money the upgraded versions of the voices offered from these high end companies sound very real. In my game I only notice the synth sound in very few situations of certain sentences. The free ones out there are better than microsoft for sure, but still sound obvious. It is worth it to take a day or two to look at what to companies out there offer for voices and makes gameplay more enjoyable. I did not state the company I use or the other companies I thought were good because I don't want to violate terms of Nexus.
Wish someone ported this to SSE or even better, make something like this integrating xVASynth to allow for all modded and unmodded dialogue options to be given a voice.
Hey guys I'm late to the party but have an answer to getting your own voice. Simply download a TTS MP3 voice for pack and install it to your pc. Afterwards they show up in MCM menu. Hope this helps someone out. This mod is wonderful. Very good job, thank you for your hard work and technomancery! c(:
Hi friend, I know it's a lot to ask but I could make a mod like this but using the voices of (geralt de river) I'm a big fan of the witcher and my computer doesn't run the witcher
The female voice option works for the female character, but I find now (after returning to Skyrim from a short hiatus) that when using the Shouts, they are said in a male voice instead. Used to be female-voiced as well.
I'm not sure what's altered this, therefore, what to address - whether it's a conflicting mod, or merely a Skyrim bug/glitch.
Wondered if anyone had any ideas?
Great mod, btw, couldn't play without it! Brings the character to life.
Hello is the TTS ever coming to Skyrim SE I am personally dyslexic and I was really interested when I saw them at but now when I see it's only in LE I kind of want to know if it's coming to SE I had hope it could help me when I'm in streaming after I have a hard time Reading ?
One of the best mods ever - couldn't play without it... Now I'm waiting for a lip synch and mouth movement... THANKS! (When talking to a non human or daedra lord turn it off or it crashes, as Skyrim was intended for 'mute Dragonborn' -lol))

Later Edit: Sorted.
