Interesting but she's too ugly lol. Skyrim has so many beautiful women who can even assemble a friend. Just use the mod (RDO) and more mod (spousesenhance_version 1.7.3) that you can win who you want in Skyrim, and get married without having to go to Riften participate in ceremony.
I wish this mod was compatible with Special Edition of Skyrim because I wanted to marry Elisif and it is quite disappointing plus I won't be able to give endorsement.
Just Married Elisif but when I chose to live with her It made her house the Thelmor HQ wont let me stay in the Blue Palace, but I stayed in the HQ and still got the Bonus.
Thank you for the mod. Simple, immersive, and eliminates the need for console commands. Works perfectly for sse. Using a outfit mod to make her use weapons and armor, and a certain mod from another site (Just search "romance se rekindled." You can just use the follow me to somewhere private dialogue to get them to follow you and say never mind to dismiss them. Nothing that you were getting them to follow you for really needs to be done) that makes her follow and fight with you just like other spouse followers but without technically being recognized as a follower (she'll still fight and stuff, just won't be part of the follower system where she uses follower dialogue, commands, or item trading which is why Dress Up Lover's NPC Outfit Changer - SE was needed). Just deleted the cell records since I have another mod which affects solitude's interior and just wanted to be able to marry elisif within the vanilla marriage system. Also saved the esp in the ck of course.
While this mod serves the purpose I need it to for the time being, the whole idea of marrying her and being high king/queen is still only in the players eyes. It would be wonderfull if the guards in solitude recognized your status, maybe even the towns people as well. After all I am the spouse of the future High Queen of Skyrim. The least the people could do is show me some respect. As for the chair, I understand it is there to give the feeling that you are actually king/queen, ect....but befor Torygg was murdered he sat in that throne. Elisif didn't sit beside him in a throne of her own. When Torygg died Elisif became Jarl and that is why she sits there. There should not be two thrones. Only one person can have the absolute power. The player is just merely the spouse of the Jarl of Solitude.
In any event I would like to thank nofear88 for this mod. I do enjoy it and recommend it to anyone who is interested in it.
also lets be realistic ( warning i am NOT bashing this mod. even if what i say has nothing to do with bashing i am stating it now because people on the internet are not very bright at times when it comes to reading and retaining what they read!)
if bethesda allowed you to merry her from the start it could be hard to play your game if you think about it for a few reasons.. 1) your high king they wont let you scratch your arse without following you around. which means you wont be able to just run off and do quests alone or even go at all. 2) would kind of break what bethesda does in their games you do not effect anything. now what i mean by that is, every elder scrolls game you start off in some backwater jail cell or some sort of prison situation. being high king would make you a some body. thats why ( the rare times skyrim will quote some big event in obivion) they would never mention something in the story you did it is usually martian. some how kavatch never happend . back on track the sum of what im sayiing is you come into the game a nobody and you end the game with nothing ( honestly you kill the world eater and you dont get a big party or parade or even a huge cave full of gold and drunk horny women. all you get is a mission complete and every once in a while a guard will go "sup... oh btw thxs for killing that boss dragon or something, and no i dont care about your sweat roll. 3) because it would be what we wanted. just like in oblivion we all wanted to become the emperor after martian gave his life. but no we got a reskin of imperial armor and a mission complete message. also i do with they had better factions in this game. oblivion's where alot better tho i do like you kill the emperor but that does feel like its phoned in to go "see look you can kill someone important to make up for its lack of good content ( not bashing skyrim just it could of been less lazy with the quest lines for factions)
with that said i love this mod when i do get it to work each time i make a new game it makes me smile. ty for the mod!
you wouldnt even be high kind anyway, she is already jarl and maybe high queen potentially. just because you marry a female jarl does not mean the male becomes the new jarl. otherwise idgrods husband and steward would be jarl of morthal. you would just be her trophy spouse just like she was to torygg. you would only be a noble at most. not a ruler.
yeah at best you could become male version of ruler consort, technically not the head of state but have the same privilage as other noble https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_consort
Okay, but Elisif herself only becomes Jarl of Hafingar because she was married to Torryg - he was the Jarl, as well as High King, when he was murdered by Ulfric. One imagines that the dragonborn could ...ahem... follow the same route to power if Elisif were to suffer a "tragic accident" at some point after the wedding. After all, what's good for the goose, is good for the gander.

I know this thread is very old, but actually I have read that Elisif was supposed to be marriageable in the vanilla Skyrim but that got cut out for some reason.
I read that when using console to make Elisif your wife there is a problem with where she actually lives, somewhere in some dingy barracks somewhere, not in the palace where you see her sleeping sometimes. I actually tested and used console to marry her and could not use her bed in the palace where one would think you would move in with her. I overwrote save right away cause I was hoping someone would make mod fixing that (and well maybe make everyone call you High King Dragonborn
