Hey Rudy, first of all, I love your mods! You're retextures are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen! But I have a small problem with this mod: for some reason the glowing constellations aren't showing up for me. The swirls at the top and the beam of light work just fine, but the constellations just don't appear for me. the issue seems to be with this mod, since when I disable it, they do appear :(. Does anyone have any idea what might cause this?
So new question. Is this something you are going to port to SE in the future? If not, how easy is it to convert myself? I'm relatively good with conversions (although I keep getting the blackface error on a few companions) and can do it myself if it is relatively straightforward. I'm just concerned with the particles mentioned earlier, as I don't believe I have ever tried a mod using them.
This mod is 99.9% textures, all you need to do is run the single mesh through a program like SSE nif optimizer or Cathedral asset optimizer and you're done.
OK, thanks. I looked through the files earlier this morning. It was just the particles I was worried about, but it looks like an easy enough conversion. Its those head tri-shapes that always get me.
Awesome to see another texture mod from you Rudy! I have a question for you if it's not too much trouble, it's not completely relevant to the mod, but I was wondering whether you prefer Skyrim LE or Skyrim SE for modding?
Really stupid question and you can feel free to chastise me for not knowing it. I don't usually try ENB's very often and currently use Skyrim Re-Engaged (and have for a long time - probably because I don't know enough about them to change it).
Does this mod or Nordic Ruins require the Rudy ENB? I had your Nordic Ruins in my last build and totally forgot it this time, but whenever I see the name Rudy I usually automatically think "Too bad this needs the ENB". Not that I haven't been tempted to try it, and probably will once I get my new computer all bought and built. I just don't see the ENB Requirement on these and wonder how much of your stuff I've been missing out on because of my associating the name with the ENB.
These re-textures look beautiful and I'm finally getting a computer that can handle all the junk I throw at it (2080ti - woohoo ) Too many re-textures on my computer for my old 780GTX to handle.
It doesn't need Rudy ENB. Only his particle light mods/"More lights for enb" mods need an enb with complex particle lights active, which if Re-Engaged doesn't, you can easily enable it in the ENB UI
Thanks, much appreciated. Now I just need to patiently wait for the SE release. I'm getting the mods I want to use on my new computer downloaded and ready. Going a little texture crazy.
Nordic Ruins, my Misc mod and this mod are only a simple texture overhauls (maybe not so simple, some meshes are HD). They don't need ENB and they aren't created only for my preset : But of course they look much better if you use ENB.
I've pretty much convinced myself I'm using it on my new computer build when it happens. I think the only reason I haven't tried it is I remember reading (or watching) somewhere that it was a little more resource heavy than Re-Engaged and my computer is puttering along slowly as it is. No reason to press the issue when I'm about two months away from having everything bought. Just need the Processor (10980xe), the GPU (2080ti) and the hard drives (Sabrent Rocket NVME M.2's). You know, nothing important.
Maybe I will try out Rudy ENB on this computer just to see if it is something I want to continue using on my new computer. Really can't hurt anything and I'll have my load list more organized. I'll just have to live with the game stutter until then. Really overtaxing this 10 year old system.
Not to plug advertisement here, but Rudy is the most beautiful ENB I have ever used, and it's super FPS friendly. You could add all the best textures and meshes in the nexus, and Skyrim still wouldn't look as good is it does with vanilla resources and Rudy ENB alone.
Was just reading up on it a bit earlier and thinking about switching over tomorrow when I have more time (stupid honeydew list). Are all those files actual Requirements (ENB Light and such) or just suggestions? No way my old computer can handle all that. Barely handling what its got now. But I want to get the full effect of RudyENB so if they are required I may have to wait until my other computer is done. I do have the enbseries and enb helper running now, but if the others help it out more it might be a good thing to wait.
None of them are required save for a couple stated in the Rudy ENB main page. All of the Rudy HQ mod projects are additions, like this retexturing of the guardian stones. As I said, Rudy ENB and vanilla alone are absolutely beautiful. Anything else, is adding to that effect, but not necessary at all.
Thank you again. I was a bit worried about all the additional mods listed. I guess I'll experiment. The recent Firefox and Microsoft updates really screwed my computer up (broke all my links and deleted my bookmarks) so I'm thinking this computer is on its last legs anyway. Thank God for the 15 days of bookmark backups in the Profiles folder. I hadn't backed my bookmarks up since March of last year.

I'm very excited to see what you decide to re-texture next. Great work!
Worth it.
