Was just able to single this mod out as the culprit of a ctd trying to approach dawnstar, most likely because of the camp nearby? :O Not quite sure what exactly this comflicts with though. At least not JK's Dawnstar, it ctd without that one too. Only other things I (can think of that I )have perhaps altering nearby area is Realistic Water Two and Pirates of the North plus SMIM of course. Plus others of your creature mods.
Not complaining, just leaving a note for others maybe running into it too. =)

-Edit:  I write this as I'm working on a redo of yesterday's modding. I think it is an issue of Skyrim Distance Overhaul, Sea Giants and some unknown other that I can't identify. Both mods end up causing a ctd, one more persistent than the other, without either of them even stressing Dawnstar and the game works fine. /shrug  (It worked just fine early on when I tested it with only a few mods, but somewher along the way I've now added something that conflicts.)

in this case you are having mod incompatibilities, or simply a weird interaction between mods, the CTD is not caused by this mod, and does not happen in vanilla with this mod installed (i was around there yesterday btw, between dawnstar and the sea giant ship, without problems, as i did several times before).
you must disable mods one by one untill you find the culprit.
lemme know if you find good results. :)

Just letting you know I'm not ignoring this. Due to health and other reasons it's going to take a while until I can do some extensive testing, and get results. (The most likely culprits didn't do anything on their own so it must be somewhere else and I'm working on a ~300 mods project built from scratch, oldschool with just notepad and brain.)
Also; Apologies, I should have phrased it differently. I didn't mean to say "Your mod is broken you broke my game *ragerage*"   ;-)  I just meant that the ctd occured AFTER adding Sea Giants. Logically, that would mean an incompability somewhere, as it indeed doesn't cause trouble on its own.

No problem, friend, take your time and get well soon.
I also spent 2 months without modding after a severe injury on February and March.

Whatever it was, it must have hit hard. I hope you don't suffer lasting damage from it. Personally can't recommend living with illnesses/injuries/damage that can't be healed or cured anymore. It's...yea...  =)

Anyway, to not blow up this comment section I'll send you my testing log as a message instead.
In a nutshell, I think there is an issue towards Campfire and SMIM, probably more, and all together isn't turning out to be healthy.

sadly it has no healing, ligaments cant regenerate, but i am getting used to use the muscles, tendons and the remaining ligaments to do the work of the ones now lost.
was pretty bad, i basically lost all ligaments on the upper bone of the knee, but now i can already walk amost as good as before.

Talk about hitting hard. :O That's a scary thing to live with. I'd be terrified every time I had to walk down a stairs with such a wobbly knee. But kudos for getting back up so fast! That takes an amount of guts too. I'm also trying to learn to use different muscles, but to take the weight off of others. My back is getting so bad my entire right body half is starting to get numb, right arm being the closest to becoming useless. So I try to shift all the muscle work to the left side. until that gets bad too and then wheeeeeeeeee =)

i know what you feel, i carry a similar injury since 2001 on the spine, and a second one on the neck in 2003, that made me abandon a career on sport in 2008.
the side that easely gets numb is the left one on me, but i am fighting the injury since 2001 and i feel better than ever, so you can too.
secret may be working out, it is what makes the pain go away for me, at least, the strongest part of it.
dealing with constant but soft pain will be a needed thing, since it will follow you for the rest of your life.

This adds grahls? I'm confused. Does this mean it's incompatible with your other grahl mod?

I adore these new mob types. They fit so perfectly into Skyrim! The Cave is a proper challenge and I absolutely love it.

Having said that, the placement of 2/3 outdoor camps was a disappointment. These sea giants don't pursue the player through water, so they have no response when players stand on the mainland and shoot at them.

If when your sailing and you spot a ship with what seems to be large bones adorning it, sail the opposite direction as fast as you can. Sea giants are exceptionally deadly mariners. Thanks for this.

I converted the mod to SSE, seems to work fine to me. No obvious issues. Lots of dirty edits in the plugin, but they can be edited out.

btw nice use of the rare seen sthalrim armor! :) and i am here remembering still wishing someone would make the ordinary giants just with blue skin and white hair or white skin and greyish/yellowish hair as a frostgiant replacer. since i am no fan of the vanilla frostgiants

Mihail, I don't know if you will see this message but I have to let you know.
As someone who has followed your work for years, I really appreciate what you've done for the community. You've really made my Skyrim experience so much better and because of your mods help me get into modding myself.

My only wish is that you wouldn't hide all of your old mods, but I understand why you do it. Some of your old mods like your Spriggans had a real nice charm to them. Still waiting on those Knights of order and Golems you showcased on your previous youtube channel. Stay safe friend and keep trucking on
