Idea\Request for you to make an additional option or similar mod. Idea: Make a spell that will make from one "T2 soul gem" with a "T2 soul", make 2 x "T2 soul gems without a soul". Make one spell. Which will go from T1 to T6 (tiny to black stones), in your inventory.
instead of having 5 spells(!?!), why not just have one that turns 2 (or 4) empty soul gems into 1 soul gem of a higher grade then the previous ones? would make the spell book a hell of a lot less cluttered imo.
Edit: like, lets say you have 2 petty soul gems and you cast the spell you'll receive 1 lesser soul gem if you have 4 petty soul gems and you cast the spell you'll receive 1 common soul gem, like how it works in ARPG games like Diablo or Torchlight for instance.
