    I have seen a few mods do similar to this ( some even triple or 4x damage) but I always felt this was not immersive. There is a fairly balanced trade off of zero weight to using summoned weapons. The weapon is not as strong but it is designed for use by spellcasters who do not carry the heavy metal counterparts.
    A thought if you wanted to make a balanced mod would be to introduce another perk, power or spell that effects the damage of the bound weapons. At least that way they wouldn't be massively overpowered in early game but still viable in late game. Personally if I had the ability I would add in a power that would be obtained from wearing a special ring, like the Ring of the Bound Arsenal or something that has to be obtained from a boss or bought for a high enough price that you couldn't get it too early.
