Not a bug, but something to be aware of: the final ambush is a big one. I have a low-to medium rig (i7-4730/GTX 1080/16 GB system) and a *heavily* modded game and noticed a slight hesitation as I went through the trigger box. Be warned.

Also, in one or two of the ambushes you might see the spawns pop in if you're looking in the right direction. I was able to avoid that for the most part, but there are one or two places where it would have made the mod a lot more complicated, and I opted for simplicity.

Please note that I made this mod for my game and my play style. Be constructive with your comments, bad manners will not get you very far. If you don't like this mod, revert to your hard save and move on.

They have all gathered in several places at same time?

Hen hao (very good)! It saves me time and effort going out in Skyrim looking for those jerks.

Hello again jknjb, can i ask you something. What you said about a non-bug of the final ambush.
I just installed Immersive College of Winterhold and my computer is not the most stable to heavy mods (heavy i mean Mods that create many npcs in one place), are you suggesting that it may crash to desktop?
I did not complete the main college questline yet, so i want to know, i have Windows 10 and Nvidia.
Do you think it may crash?

The Skyrim game engine has a hard time dealing with having a lot of NPCs in combat at the same time, particularly if there's a lot of magic effects that need rendering.  While I can't say for certain that your game will or won't crash, it may slow down quite a bit, particularly when the NPCs first spawn.  The last fight spawns 12 Thalmor, though they're not all mages.  I tried for a reasonable mix of melee, ranged and spellcasters.

I usually mod Skyrim heavily, including modding both Winterhold and the college.  I made this mod a few years before I got around to releasing it.  At that time I had an i7-4730, 16 GB RAM and a GTX 1080 GPU.  I saw a drop in fps during the spawns but never experienced a crash with it.  As I said, I can't say for certain what your experience will be, it depends on your system, your mods, etc.

      I hope that's helpful information.

Thanks a lot for replying, i don't know how, but you gave an idea: I am going to make a testing save with consoles and do the entire College questline with your mod activated and see if it crashes or only freezes a little. Thank you again.

jknjb: It didn't crash. It just freezes a bit and after that works perfectly, finally i know that it is safe to use. Thanks for your work, it is amazing what you did in this mod, it is a "simple" change that overhauls the entire questline to make the player hate the thalmor even more.

Now this is the fucking immersion I'm talking about.  Slight changes like these make the story and themes of the game so much more realistic.

Shame Bethesda devs haven't learned to use more than one braincell at a time.

jknjb: Excelent mod, Immersive Patrols was awesome. But these two mods together are perfection. The Chaos in Skyrim and the tyranny of the Thalmor. If only Bethesda hired people like you!

I should be the one thanking you. Without any of these mods Skyrim would be incompleted forever. It is amazing the number mods (like this one) that overhauls Skyrim and turns it into what it always should have been. And i know it is not easy to create Mods. Thank you again for the efforts.

As if that moron that thinks he could order you around wasn't enough. If wasn't part of the plot i would had simply cut his head off at the first time i saw him.
    Whatever, tastes and all that.

Ever thought it was odd that the College of Winterhold has a gigantic magical ball that can destroy the world floating merrily in it's front hall and the only Thalmor agent you have to deal with is Ancano?
    No.

No. The orb was a very recent discovery. This is Skyrim. No cell phones, no telephones and no email.

Very good idea and a good mod. Is it possible to make a Thalmor patrol mod to show more influence of the Thalmor? That would be great :)

Thanks, I hope you enjoy it

I believe Immersive Patrols adds more Thalmor patrols, along with other traveling merchants, civil war patrols, etc. It might be worth checking out if you're not familiar with it.

Sounds good, but is every scenario warranted? Trying to remember the quests (it's been awhile), why would the Thalmor ambush you during the Bard's College quest (finding the verse)? And just some design criticism, you have multiple ambushes during the college quests, and that essentially deflates the drama of an ambush. It's like "oh here we go again, another ambush." Would be more impactful if you did one small one during the middle and then keep the large ambush at the end. Having the Dragonborn sweep away the original ambush, the Thalmor would be surprised/dismayed and reason to bring everything they had with the final one, they wouldn't keep trying and trying with smaller bands.

Edit: just looked through the quests and the only time it would make sense for a Thalmor ambush is at Labyrinthian with Estormo bc they have nothing to gain by killing you before that.

The commander of each ambush party has orders to explain why the Thalmor are there. They are not after the Dragonborn specifically, they're after the artifacts. I made this to put a little spice in the CoW tasks, not to make a sweeping overhaul of the whole questline. That would be fun to do, but I haven't got the time for it, unfortunately.
