Since some people are STILL confused about why I made this mod. In my last playthrough, I had the dark face bug with Recorder. I could not fix it no matter why I tried. I tried using loose files instead of the bsa. I tried exporting face gen data from the esp in the Creation Kit. I tried redoing my load order. Nothing worked, which is why I made this mod.
The function that set's the correct face color will run automatically after leaving and entering an area on an NPC with the fix, preventing you from having to constantly use the SetNPCWeight console command on them. This mod is to be used as a last resort if all your other attempts to fix the dark face bug have failed. Any more comments about this will be deleted.
Bit late to the party here, but having problems - got the dark face issue, but when I use the spell it turns the whole npc colour black, whatever skin colour they start with, rather than matching the face to the skin colour... Tried it on several, indoors and out, same issue... Any ideas?
also having the same issue. using the command itself "setnpcweight 35" still works to fix the issue for both before and after using the spell; however, as soon as the npc enters a new cell they return to being solid black. hopefully this gets fixed one of these days. cheers.
Would it be possible to make a version that had a higher limit on how many characters could be on the list at once? I’m running a heavily modded setup and this mod really is a godsend, I’m just worried I’ll exceed the count and not be able to do anything. If you can’t/don’t want to make one, would you be ok with someone else doing it?
Great. finally a mod that also works and does what it promises, although not many NPCs who suffer from this skin disease are a bit annoying when you meet them and have tried everything possible to cure them, a mod that you have to have nothing else helps ... Thank u very much
If you use ENB(Boost) hitting F11 (default key for freeing VRAM) does the same thing. Your mod name is kinda misleading, as it doesnt solve the conflict from faceGen but some graphical glitch that can also happen to other parts of the PC/NPC bodies. Anyways i think your mod is good for those who don't use ENB
