I think this works like a fake replacer, where instead of a standalone armor that you just use, you use scripts to trade between two versions you have of a vanilla armor.
Theres a wall of text, 3 videos showcasing what the mod does. It shouldnt be that hard to figure out.
Lets say you have an armor replacer mod that lets your character dress really skimpy but it also changes everyone else, so with this mod, only you can wear that piece of hot clothing, or you can swap it so npcs dont wear it with the npc spell. but the player spell will be more stable and requires less patches
