GrimZan has taken the time to make a ACE patch for the latest Immersive Armors so that the bonus effects are properly applied.

    Get it here:

    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57481/?

Sorry I haven't been on lately. I have been working as many hours over the summer as possible before school starts again and I have been on a Fallout tear lately. I will be back to Skyrim once Requiem is updated although Loot and Degradation is really tempting me to come back before then.

I figured I would take advantage of the new sticky thingamajig and post some answers to common question. According to Jeopardy rules I will post the answer and you will have to figure out the question yourself.

Athyra is the author of this mod. Myself and a few others are simply babysitting it and keeping it up to date with patches. I have not done this alone and have received invaluable assistance from people like Zeromus, Beverant, Rhurin and others.

Patches for the DLC and some mods are located in the ACE Patches and Walkthrough download in Optional Files.

BOSS will give an error warning about ACE Archery requiring DG or it will crash. This is because both the vanilla version and the DG version have the same name. It will work fine though.

ACE will continue to support DLC but the only mods that will be supported going forward are Immersive Weapons and Unique Bows Collection. If you have made a custom patch for an mod that you use and wish to share it I will place it in the Patches download and give you full credit. I will make a patch for a particular mod if I get enough requests for it so if you want a patch don't be afraid to be vocal about it you might not be the only one that wants it.

    Basics of making a patch:
-Speed is 1.2 or .6 light and long

-Base damage, critical damage and weight must be changed to match material. This is easiest to do with TES5Edit.

-Range is 9000 or 7000 long and light

-Long bows are set to Very Loud and light bows are set to Silent

-Set Flag2 to "NPCs Use Ammo"

-Keyword Jobfletcher is added to light bows, long bows do not get a keyword as they are the default setting. Mod added bows are treated as long bows by default if they are not patched.

-Keyword Traitgreedy added to new types of light arrows and Traitpowerhungery added to new types of long arrows. Also make sure that the speed and damage values are changed and long or light put in the name for easy identification.

If you know that you are going to use a patch for one of the modules such as ACE Archery or ACE Enchanting you still need to install them with the default installer because of the BSAs that contain the scripts. Then you overwrite them with the patches. I learned this the hard way and wasted several hours trying to figure out why all of a sudden my enchanting table wasn't working properly anymore. :/

Don't forget to take advantage of ACE BYOG (seperate download). If you think bows are too weak you can increase them independently with ACE BYOG and you can adjust many other individual settings. A newer and more user friendly tool I recommend is SkyTweak. It does a lot more although it still doesn't have the function to separate specific weapon types out such as onehanded or twohanded currently.

This mod is NOT compatible with mods that change perks such as SkyRe or Requiem etc. However in the case of SkyRe I believe you can use some of the modules like the enemy scaling module as I believe that doesn't overlap with ACE.

If you want to remove the sneak or mismatch penalties from your game you can use the below console commands. I remove the sneak penalty myself as long bows are set to noise level very loud anyways so don't feel like you are cheating.

    set ArcheryMismatchPenalty to 0

    set ArcherySneakPenalty to 0

Mods that compliment ACE fill out the areas that ACE doesn't touch and I use and highly recommend:

    Empowered Magic
Path of Shadows or Stealth Skill Rebalanced (I am using the latter one currently)
    Swearing Mudcrabs
ERSO (I use several modules from this mod)
    Phitts Alchemy Overhaul
Lock Overhaul or Lockpicking Overhaul (both excellent mods)
Dynamic Difficulty (use it to fine tune my game alongside BYOG)
Proper Aiming (don't forget the ini tweaks)
More Hotkeys Please (you can now set weapons to both hands )

probably a bunch of others that I am forgetting......

Thank you for checking out this mod and giving it a try.

I would like to use Heavy Armory in addition to Immersive Weapons and Lore Weapon expansion.  However, if that seems to be too much as there are patches made for Immersive and Lore, then I can skip that mod for this build.   I liked ACE perk and adjustments; I could use Ordinator, Vokrii, and other perk mods, but this makes some changes in gameplay as well as perk separation for combat.

I've also used Armor and Clothing Extension but that requires WACCF.  If I add both of these mods, it might change a few things that would need to be patched.

I'm going through The Method on this round of edits.   I'm basing my build on Skyrem by Dr Pharm Dog which I also find helpful.   ACE has my vote for now, but Ordinator was recommended as the perk of choice.   SInce I'm deviating from the STEP guide for SkyRem, I would like to ask the community here how difficult would be to create a patch for Heavy Armory.

    Thoughts?  Advice?

Amazing mod, used it for quite a lot but now i was wondering..Is there a way to remove the status "defense state - low armor", since i don't like gauntles and most of the boots on my char (wanna show my good tattoos and everything else), even if it's quite unimmersive

Has someone made a "Scoped Bows" patch for this mod? I would really love to have those bows with the treatment from this mod, I really love the idea of separated bows for closer combat and sniping and it would be great for my actual character, who is a hunter and I'm playing without croshair

Would it be possible for someone to create a patch that makes the mod compatible with the Ordinator?
      Thanks,

I wouldn't recommend making a mod for two Perk overhaul Mods - the purpose of Ace being modular is so you can use mods like CCOR and CACO, Steath Skills Rebalanced Smithing Perks Overhaul and other major mods that affect gameplay and perk selections. Making a patch for Ordinator would not make sense for ACE. CACO has a patch for Ordinator because it edits the Alchemy Tree and there are two options to either not use Ordinator and use CACO or integrate CACO within Ordinator. For ACE, this is not necessary because you can choose to not use the Alchemy Module. Out of the box, Ordinator doesn't need to be patched for most mods and there is a patch list in the description.

    Thnaks for making this mod.

Especially, The Achery system which seperate bow types is pretty awsome. I like that. However, I found something dissapointed from patch for Immersive Weapons. As you said, Bows in Immersive Weapons was changed to match material like vanilla weapons. I hope that there's differences between vanilla and Immerisve Weapons mod.

I need to edit this. ...of course, It would be better if I share it.

So, would you please permit that I do this?

+ Oh, I forgot one more thing. and I want to make a patch for Equipment of Eternal Shine. It doesn't exist. If you permit this, I will try.
