MAN, i just wanted to say those dark variant is SO ICELANDIC, i don't know, it's really cool with other "northern" mods like grass or black sand. THANK YOU. a little iceland in skyrim : ) upd: oooh, you're from sweden, so you know what it is to live in the cold places
Gorgeous textures, definitely. May I dare a request ? I'd love to see you doing an 8k texture for Whiterun city wall. Can't find anything that's HQ enough around.
Great ! These really are great news. Your SE Whiterun is fantastic. Can't wait. I'm indeed working the other way around, updating my LE setups before going back to SE. :P
Just want to say thank you for these amazing textures, this really is an understated mod or seems to have gone under the radar for most people. it should be more popular.
Been trying out different rock/mountain mods for the last few hours just trying to get the look I wanted in my new set-up. Couldn't find any combination I was happy with, then I suddenly remembered reading about your mod on another site while I was on a break from Skyrim and the name was easy to remember :)
These are just what I needed. Was having so much trouble with other mods that one rock file looked good but then the other looked to shiny with my current ENB/lighting. Rum Induced Mountain is perfect for me.
Hope to see you doing more retextures in the future.
amazing textures! thanks much... i'll ask here as someone may know... after watching some videos i see that many of my mountains, cliffs, and assorted rock structures do not cast (or possibly receive) shadows. many of my nifs are from old mods or collections like Tamriel Reloaded and others. search some newer mods i see their nifs have setting mine don't such as mine will have ...skyrim shader type -heightmap, and theirs will be "default". also flags like cast shadows, parrallax ect. i also saw this in the USLEEP logs...
"None of the landscape parts for mountains cast shadows even though all of them are large enough to need it. (meshes\landscape\mountains\mountaincliff01.nif, meshes\landscape\mountains\mountaincliff02.nif, ect ect"
so before i change all my nifs and screw up performance or something, what are the rules for getting nifs to show shadows? thanks
These are absolutely, absolutely fantastic rock textures. Would endorse thrice if I could.
Unfortunately, my machine started giving a fair bit of stutter after installing the 8K resolution so I've been trying to downgrade to 4K. Ingame this results in a black haze draped over the textures, and I have no idea where it comes from. I've tried 4K medium, 2K medium, and 4K bright (using MO) and they all produce this result - the image upload shows what I'm experiencing (doesn't need to be approved, it's just fyi). Do you have any idea what causes this and how it can be fixed? If I revert to 8K it's beautiful as normal, but stutter.
Any thoughts? (disregard nexus changing my username)
I can add that I get this result even when manually putting the texture files in the data folder and starting the unmodded game, and no other texture files I have loaded ever produced anything similar :/
