Setting iShadowMapResolutionPrimary and iShadowMapResolutionSecondary both to 0 work VERY WELL for me. But for some reason changing iShadowMapResolution to anything but 512 (to 0 or 1 or anything else below 512) creates a TON of lag in my game, most notably so in outdoor cells during sunny days when shadows would normally be rendered in full. I have no idea why my graphics are reacting this way to this specific setting when it seems to work rather well for others. Anyways, the other two setting work GREAT for me! Thank you VERY MUCH for sharing this with the rest of us, IT IS APPRECIATED!
@MrCoop1972 What are you talking about? No, we don't! Processor making 16G operations per second is cheaper than graphic card making 0.85G. CPUs today have usually 4 cores, when one of them carries an engine, 3 others can make a huge help.
Idea: I think I can use this to remove the shadows that will cause the game to have more FPS then use ENB to get normal fps with better graphics and shadow Gonna DL this now and try my idea
Documents> My Games> Skyrim> SkyrimPrefs (opens with notepad)
find bDrawShadows=1 and change the 1 to a 0 so it says bDrawShadows=0 That's the proper way to remove shadows n00bs. One digit, not all this: fShadowDistance=0.0000 fInteriorShadowDistance=0.0000 fShadowLODStartFade=0.0000
You shouldn't touch these unless you have shadows ON and you know what your doing.
@infectiousxx This is more efficient. I'm running latest patch. Everyone starts out not knowing the right way to fine tune graphics, you'll get there soon young padawan.
Honestly I guess I'm upset at your false advertising, this is far from "Ultimate"
Thank you. Most of the ini files I have found have either do nothing or decreased my fps but, this one did the trick and actually increased it. So thank you.
At first I thought it would be stupid to have no shadows, but I was desprit for fps at this point. Then I realized I hardly even noticed. Works great, thanks for making this.
