Hello, i'm not sure if this mod still has support but I'm having an issue with the overall behavior of the mod with vivid. when it rains hard or just rains at all, I don't see the rain but rather a big blurry tipe of drop that looks horrible. I'm not sure if i'm supposed to install vivid before or after this ENB.
Hi! First of all, boy this mod is hot garbage. I had very poor taste for visuals back then. Second of all, to answer your question: Press Shift + Enter, scroll down till you get to 'Rain' in the panel that opens up, then untick 'Enable'. That's the only band-aid fix I can think of off the top of my head.
Okay, so I'm having a similar issue to someone else earlier on where I load in only to be faced with a brown wall that cuts off half of my screen with varying levels of unplayability. I've tried changing my resolution to no avail unfortunately, and I was wondering what might cause something like this when it comes to mods since I have a good handful. This is the first ENB I've ever downloaded by the way.
Edit: I figured it out, and it involved me changing a 0 to a 1 in the SkyrimPrefs text document.
This started to work then crashed.. now I cant even start the game.. It was super dark too.. in the instructions.. you said #3 just copy your folder over to the skyrm folder.. Ok so I dont let vortex install that right? ok so I highlighted everything manually... including the folder in there and copied to the skyrm folder. should I have opened that folder and hand copied everything inside and dumped all those loose files into skyrm?
I just wish for all these high risk enb, you guys could take more time with a step by step installation guide and be a bit more clear. If you have to spend hours fighting with it.. then it just takes away from the game. This enb didnt have any options in the effect menu drop down?? The photos look like you can change effects.. so Am I missing something? . Even tho I got rid of everything and used the enb remover.. my game still woulnt start.. I had to re boot my computer after deleting everything and steam re verifying all files.. It was scary thinking I lost my game there for a moment. If I had more detailed installation guide I might attempt it again.... I dont recommend this Enb. Sorry. I am willing to change my review if I could find support
Vortex is your problem. Get rid of it ASAP. Use literally any other mod manager. Even unrelated to ENB, Vortex is just straight up not reliable compared to the other managers you could get. With that out of the way, delete d3d9.dll, enblocal.ini, enbseries.ini, and the enbseries folder from your Skyrim directory. Manually. This will remove the enb files completely. Now check if the game runs fine. If it does. install enb (manually, no vortex, no mod manager) and skip the enblocal.ini this time around.
Thank you very much for the reply^^ simply saying install enb doesnt really help..:: Instructions:: 3. Copy my ENB files to the same folder. ::Then you replied:: "install enb (manually, no vortex, no mod manager) and skip the enblocal.ini this time around." There are "Tons" of files and whole folders in an enb.. Not trying to make it difficult.. Just.. might be helpful to say which exact files you need OR if you should open any folders and dump all contents into the skyrm main folder as well.. Might be nice to know.. This enb didnt have any options in the effect menu drop down?? ( did something go wrong or is that the way its supposed to look?) The photos look like you can change effects.. so Am I missing something?
Basically, d3d9.dll, enbseries.ini, enblocal.ini, and enbhost.exe should be in the same folder as your Skyrim.exe. The enbseries folder also goes inside this folder. No need to unload anything from the folder, it's already set up. As for the different looks, you are referring to a Look-up table. This ENB does not have one, sadly. If the images looks different it's because different times of day and different weathers, that's it. You can't manually switch to a different tonemapping/gamma/colour palette setting.
Ahh Okies! Thank you so much for your patience. I am going to give it another go. I really love love love this enb and think its the best looking one hands down anywhere! Thank you for making it and being patient with me. XOX
Sorry to bother you, but I have a question. When you say "high end PC" for the latest ENB binary, what exactly do you mean? High end as in high end *now* or high end by Skyrim standards? I've got a Ryzen 3 2200G and a GTX 960 4GB and was curious if this could handle it at 60 fps or if my hardware would get dabbed on.
Hey, so I had the same issue with Vanilla Ice Cream ENB, and it turns out the culprit is actually your aspect ratio/resolution. Switching to a 16:10 resolution from 16:9 fixed it for me. Tell me if that works for you. Cheers.
