If anyone's wondering, this works perfectly in SE. Just wait until after Alduin is dead like a couple other people mentioned and the dialogue becomes available.

The mod works but the option doesn't show up until after Alduin is killed. Still, it was worth the wait to finally get rid of Delphine.

How does this compare to "The Paathurnax Deilemma?"

    https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/365

Would people say it's better, worse or the same?

Because after "The Paathurnax Dilemma?" assuming you side with parth, and all is said n done,  you can pay a visit and kill pushy bossy n such names, delphine n whathisname, ( bad for names) ...
It will depend on how things with parth, as to if you want to use this mod or not, if you do, don't have it active till after, in case if quest line breakes..
They'll both show up at the blades hall

Can I install it at any point in the main quest? And at which point would it be too late?

And I´ve seen there was a discussion about not having the unofficial le update. Same here, I do have the le version, but I dont use the patch because.. i dont need it and I dont want to f.uck anything up unnecessary haha anyway was there a version of this mod which doesnt require the patch or did I get that wrong?

Edit: finally tested it. I installed it after i killed alduin. And it worked great, simple but great. One thing which was strange was, they didnt attack me, after i said they die now, i had to attack first. I first killed delphine and esbern didnt help her. I mean they both died at the end, and paarthurnax said his line and is happy, and the quest ended, so alls well :D

Also i didnt have the patch, but still worked if someones also wondering. And the attacking thing wasnt cause of the missing patch cause i tested that afterwards

Its not so much as too late more as too early I would wait to will after therye main  part in dragon quest at high hrothgar,  if you kill them before , it may stuff up the quest line and wont proceed because theyre not there to to say their lines, possibly ... kill after should be fine, I was told a while back now ...

I have USLEEP and I don't have the conflicting mods, this mod didn't work. Got through the negotiation sequence, Delphine has no new dialogue options after it, she just tells you to kill Paarthunax and how the blades don't care about you until you do so, like usual.

    Edit:
Ok, the mod works AFTER you kill Alduin. When you give Delphine the news that everything is over, the very spectacular delicious choice of "I don't need you anymore" shows up. Endorsed, but I would update the description of the mod, it gives you the impression you can kill the Blades immediately after the negotiations.

Delphine is so unlikeable. I think bethesda failed to write a compelling character, considering how many people sided with paarthurnax. Good games are made of difficult choices, and I had no problem ditching her at the first opportunity. But this is a problem with the entire game. The characters have so little depth, and the few lines of dialogue you get from each do not help matters. Still, it is good to know I can kill her, if I ever play a psychopathic dragonborn.

I hope they replace the lead writer for someone competent for the next TES.
