I really enjoyed the analogy of life and a chess game. It be the Divines or the Daedric Prince, in the end mortals are nothing but the pieces to their game. Wulver does make a solid point...but I do like Thrynn's way of thinking when it comes down to that. Adventure, good company, food and a warm bed. Simply things can make life very enjoyable. Dark Wulver sure is a very scary thing and I hope we never get to meet him.
I particularly like the warm safe feel of that location in comparison to the storm.
Nice one!
Those are awesome images and a nice read, GrimJ. Wonderful for a cup of tea with all the rain outside.
The blizzard outside and the warmth inside. You can almost feel the pleasant warmth on your skin and hear the firewood crackling. Even without the sound.
If I have to translate text first, I play the background music at the end, when I look at the pictures again.
It is just the right atmosphere for dreams, memories and philosophizing. The whole thing is accompanied by very atmospheric pictures.
An interesting prospect of a dark Wulver. Have you ever tried to design a dark Wulver in RaceMenu?
Wulver as a Warrior of light. I like this image most.
Glad you got into the mood of the post, I was trying to achieve a cozy feeling with the fire, the storm, the ambient music, and the way I wrote.
It is always good to enjoy conversations between Wulver and Thrynn (including the drunk ones). They differ from the point of view, but there is always something to agree.
Excellent tale, Jon!
Writing Wulver and Thrynn is becoming very natural now as I have a very clear idea in my head on both of their personalities, how they think, and how they act.
Loving the three amigos shot, very difficult to set up poses like that but it was masterfully done :)
A crouching shot in a loincloth too, but no accidental peeking this time. :D
That amigo shot was pretty much game doings. I was coming out of a tunnel to a broader area with a light. I often will rotate the camera in front of nice light sources in case of a shot. As I did I saw Marcurio giving Wulver that look and then Thyrnn started to push by. I froze the scene, did one pose for Wulver, and done. So I didn't have to set up anything other than Wulvers pose.
Sometimes chance is better than spending an hour trying to make something happen and have it look natural. So can't really take credit.
Beautifully crafted imagery and narrative, Jon! Oh yeah, that is a cool looking chessboard as well, very nice touch!
