First you twisted my idea of Vittoria!
But to see Erikur get what he so desperately deserved was just delightful!!!!
Erikur lost many things in this chapter, not the least of which was his dignity.
the staging of all the small sceneries was made perfectly ... I think, you spent a lot of time to do it with all the perfect outfits and poses ... when Erikur touched Auriella's leg and she thought it was payed by his purse ... haha ...he is a fool ... the highlight was of course the illusion spell of Auriella and gave me a great laugh ... well done and when I see how Elisif is under the influence of her big friend Byling with the typical poses of Best-friends-Ever... ... and ... not to forget, it is a perfect distraction from Karliah's work in the shadows
You become better and better with all you skills, my friend ( I remember well your first parts of this epos ) ... and I enjoy it everytime with careful reading and watching ... Thanks a lot for this good entertainment
I still wish I was able to get the draugr to wear the outfit, but I could not do it (he was invisible with only the clothes showing). You are correct, this is the distraction for Karliah which I hope to have done soon. A lot of things came together nicely for these sets, and thanks again for the great comment and encouragement
First I thought Bryling would upstage them all as the way you have underlined her personality is simply too good. But the moment Auriella was casting her special spell made my day! Luckily I wasn't drinking while reading...
I will save all the chapters I have missed for my next train journey - suddenly I'm looking forward to it. You are showing great writing and screenarchery talent, Wade! I could spend months on such a set and it wouldn't be as nearly as amazing as your piece of art. Heartily endorsed!
Bryling certainly made off like a bandit at this years gathering, and Erikur lost ground everywhere. Good thing you were not drinking when Auriella sprung the trap, unlike someone else further down in the comments
Thank you for the great compliment. My first chapters show how little I knew back then about modding, and I was experimenting with everything out there so I had to rebuild a couple of times but it gets more and more fun as the experience grows.
The chit-chat of Elisif and Bryling, the deals over the farm, the obnoxious Erikur, Auri's game playing, the language and emotions, the shots ... all came together. You set the bar a bit higher for yourself with this story Wade.
I didn't really need to put much effort into making Erikur into a terrible person, especially with some of his vanilla dialogue. This was pretty fun to make, and I'm glad I took a look at the modders resources tab in categories, there's some real treasure in there.
The amount of details is tremendous, this is exactly what a night at the Embassy is to be expected, of political games. But starting this all out with the economy, Wall Street à la mediaeval fashion, it's all rigorously believable, what if the farmer-nobles leave? The verbal jousting between the jarls and thane is exceptionally, immensely well done my friend, the concerns being food and taxes, going through marriage rights if required.
Then this wonderful play on Erikur, it's simply amusing and very creative, still "lore-friendly", you gave me a good laugh, at the same time, how efficient to get the attention of Ondo and win his initial trust, it's brilliant Wade. All this to remove as much as possible all the threats that could get into Karliah's mission, the team work here is complicated, yet simple, everyone has to play a part...and not just rely on a drunk's distraction. Yep, level of intrigue here is huge.
One of the surprises here is Bryling...a thane with immense power, indicating Elisif is still too young, and she learns a lot here. And I really love the interactions and staging, this is masterfully executed
Cheers!
Such a time of chaos brings the best opportunities, and sometimes those are even for the benefit of both parties. I only gave a paragraph a few chapters ago on how Auriella knew Ondolemar, and that was a one time occurrence that happened decades ago. She knows his ego with keep him around, and hopefully for long enough
Bryling did quite well for herself, winning an ebony mine and possibly some profitably farms. The last part will only have two things going on, obviously involving Karliah
Thanks for checking it out. I think the Thalmor could find better uses for a rich noble than the dungeon, things that are probably worse.
