Wonderful images - you do so much with your expressions and set-ups. Even a very simple stage says a lot when properly used and you do that well.
Found many of the ideas thought provoking and things I sometimes consider. While walking the dog tonight I thought about life and reality and the old men versus say those who travel the world. Life and reality encompasses all things though so the old men in their fort and the hero who travels the world are both part of life and each finds their own way.
The stuff on time was excellent and time is a very weird construct and something once could think about for a very long ... time.
Besides the metaphors and such I also enjoyed the story underneath it all as Saga struggles with who she is and what she is trying to do. To be guided or to guide herself. To put responsibility on another or to take it upon herself.
If there is one thing I find terrifying, it's the concept of time. It's a very fluid idea, and everyone experiences it differently. As a kid, I found the thought that thirty minutes can pass quicker for me than for, say, my classmates, very disturbing. And for Saga, who at this point is pretty much fully under the influence of DM, the concept of time became even more abstract, I think.
Thank you again!
That it is superbly well written goes without saying and it's a breath of cool clear air to find a Dragonborn without the "default" hero/heroine stamp, but one whose introspection, her examination of herself, her doubts and acceptances opens the way for a very different kind of story.
Another thing I like is how the lack of the usual fully explained, slotted, pigeonholed and indexed backstory makes the me want to know more about this enigmatic mouse.
I'm watching for the next chapter...and I have to travel back through your past stories, but I can only do this slowly due to a lack of available personal time.
I'm very glad you found the story to your liking. I am quite fond of flawed characters whose agenda is undefined rather than clearly good or evil. That is the main objective I struggle to achieve while creating these little scribblings. The fact that you perceive the protagonist as non-heroic truly means a lot to me
Thank you again!
Well done, and I hope you get better soon Kayol!
