Glad she went on a prank spree with her loser class mates.
So happy that Garm is there to give her encouragement and balance.
Love this chapter! The last shot on the floor with Garm is my favorite.
Beautiful work dear!!
Thank you dear !!!
Sannedia sure had fittingly unique way to satisfy her curiosity about Khajiit and cats, making J'Zhargo act a little mad for a day and her help with that invisibility spell sure got a reaction, the floating head being quite the sight among those halls. Seems it was unwise of her to think that she could prank the Arch-Mage without him noticing with his skill in magic, her ending up the victim of her own prank, she does like to keep the people of the college on their toes.
It is nice that she found one like a big brother in Lotsi, a friend that understood her better than any student in the college, one to keep her in her usual bright mood especially when she had to face the mean words of the other students when they learned she could not read Tamrielic. Of course she though up a prank to get some payback, making them feeling, at least for a little time, how it was not to be able to read all the books in the college.
It was interesting to learn how Sannedia ended up acting as a messenger for Akrioh, him meeting her as she adventured about. Odd that one with keen instincts as his would think she was but a farm girl, I guess she is quite good at masking her nature in her human form. It is good for her and for others than she is starting to gain more control over her spells even with her mind sometimes wandering, she does work hard at things that she wants to do, she is really not one to give up it seems, which makes sense with that bright outlook on things she has. A wonderful chapter of the tale, Mylène
She is a curious one and she does find unique ways to satisfy that curiosity of hers, like in the case of Khajiits and cats. J'Zhargo ending up acting a little mad for a day. Her help for the invisibility spell sure was bound to have some reactions..floating head wondering in the halls of the college, not something that happens everyday i'm sure, even in a college of magic ! Quite unwise indeed to attempt to prank the Arch-Mage himself without him noticing..thus she fell prey to her own prank though given her good nature, she probably found it as hilarious. Oh people sure have to stay on their toes with her around!
I'm glad that she have made an other friend and found a big brother in Losti. Of everyone in the college he is the one that can understand her the best. As well as it help keep her usual bright mood when dealing with the other student..and also shows her she's not exactly alone anymore which means alot to her. It was very mean of them to tease her on her inability to read Tamrielic, but then again the students believe her to be a regular breton girl and not a Daedra. Only Losti and the Arch-Mage (I think) ( well Garm too) are aware of her nature. She sure got payback for it...giving them a taste of how it feels to not be able to read.
Sannedia being a messenger to deliver meat to Wolfgar was brough up in Wolf's tale, I just covered the thing from Sannedia's perspective even if briefly. Akrioh hiring for the delivery..thinking she was a mere farm lass. Perhaps seem a bit odd that he did not sense her daedric nature..but she is quite good at masking her nature to humans and make them believe she's a mortal...now when faced with other Daedra or a Prince well they can sense it right away that she's a Daedra. A very good thing indeed, for her to be gaining more control over her abilities, at least some of her spells since I doubt anyone at the College could really teach her how to master her Daedric abilities aside from Losti perhaps. When she puts her mind to something, she works very hard to achieve it. She is very persistent. She is quite the optimistic little lass
Thank you dear ! I'm glad you enjoyed this tale !!
Anyhow simply adored this wonderful story. While sad in parts for how she was treated, and her sense of loneliness, it was very amusing as well. You wrote it very well and I think you do a fantastic job making her very innocent. Having been isolated most of her life of course she knows very little about the world ... any of them.
I am so glad Losti decided to "adopt" her as his little sister. He was certainly an outcast for many centuries among those in Coldharbour (not to mention he was perma-banished way back in time to the point that when he finally reformed he doesn't recall much of who he was before ... only some of his core personality traits, deeply buried, remained - which is why he didn't fit in - he was basically a "good" Daedra in a previous life and it didn't mesh with his current one.
Point being he probably understands Sandy a little better than some. I expect he will be somewhat protective .. which of course can also be annoying in its own way. Still at least she has a few friends. I expect Garm is her truest friend though - he has no connection to Sam to muddy the water nor is he the bedmate of the Arch-mage like Losti is - although perhaps Losti is trying to help in his own way by prodding Avrien to teach her a few things.
The whole Garm and the kitten thing was adorable - loved that she became a cat. Just a wonderful idea and shows Avrien wasn't too upset at least. Worse things could happen then being a cat for a day.
The shots were extra nice cause they were so cute. That second to last shot of her and Garm is so adorable - sugar X 1000. Thoroughly enjoyed this story so very, very much! A new favorite.
PS - The ley lines is also awesome. Love stuff like that. I like to think there are different types of ley lines as well - for instance I suspect Garm can see the "soul" lines best, while Grim has an affinity for the life ones. Sandy - not sure what she sees (all of them most likely but wonder if she has an affinity for a type - perhaps the elemental ones?)
It's really sad how she was treated by the other students but not only that, the way she was treated since she was a child ( could still say she is one )...abandonned and lonely all her life..at least until she met Garm ! It's something I try to stick close to when I write Sannedia, aside from going crazy, its that child-like blissful innocence. Being isolated most of her life does make it that she have very little knowledge of any of the worlds and does make her very socially awkward.
I'm also very happy that Losti somewhat "adopted" her as his little sister, I'm sure Sannedia is also very happy about having a big brother. With his life in coldharbor and how he was an outcast most of his life..at least from when he reformed till present day. It really makes him the person that can understand her the most right now, he can relate pretty well to what she had to go through and she can also relate to him that way. Which I think might of helped create that little big brother and little sister bound between them...and also make him a bit protective of her. Well him being protective can be annoying at time of course..but in a way I think she'd appreciate it..as it's just a sign he cares...at least that's how she'd see it. Garm is her truest and best friend. I think the only thing that really muddy the water is Losti's link to Sam and not actually the fact that he's Avrien's bedmate...( Considering that she probably just think they are roommates...lol and since there is just one bed they are stuck sharing it lol...she doesn't understand the concept of intimacy just yet lol)...perhaps Losti is also using that as a way of helping by getting Avrien to teach her a thing or two like reading and writing for one....though I think that's just his way of putting her in detention lol.
Sannedia is quite the curious little one at times and much like Nataly's Selina...the nickname "Little Kitten" could fit her so well. So I just had to somewhat have this as a joke...hence why Sannedia ended up turning into a Cat. Not everyday you'd have a student mix a telekinesis spell and a invisibility spell on top of the same student having the alchemical knowledge to make a shape shifting mixture...( Ok about the mixture it's more of the fact that she came across it before on accident lol ). Much worse then being a cat for a day ! Much worse indeed ! ..at least she got off the hook easy lol...I guess he must of though that her being a cat for a day was punishment enough for it.
How can one be immune to so much cuteness ! lol. Oh my don't give Sandy sugar ! lol...can you imagine a Sandy hyper on sugar!? lol. I'm glad that this tale is a new favorite !
I just really wanted to put the ley lines back in there and that the fact that there are many different type of them that weave around the world. Garm probably see some of them, mostly those linked to soul I suspect..while Grim sees and feel the web of life or they ley line of life. Sandy for herself, she doesn't see them all actually. She see some of them but she can feel all of them..she have an affinity the magical ones and perhaps in a different way then Grim, to the life one as well.
I feel so sorry for her given her loneliness! she has no one except her friend - loyal Garm. Losti can keep her company and even act as big brother, but i think Sandy greatly misses the family, the heartfire which is very hard to find. Other students bulling sure don't make her feel better! and the funniest thing is, is that they play with a fire... given Sandy's abilities they cab be wiped out by her in matter of seconds, yet she kept her good heart and tries to ignore them. Great to know that she has progress in magic and her study of Tamrielic language and I am sure Avrien is a good teacher!
I've enjoyed reading about her pranks... the one with cat herbs was very funny and of course the mention about "bag of tricks"! Yet maybe i ma wring, but like Grim Sandy seems to dislike live in one place for too long or be surrounded by walls... she seemed much happier just travelling with Garm around Skyrim. Hopefully little Daedra can find her happiness!
Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful work and I would look forward for continuation!
It's so sad that she would be so lonely if it wasn't from Garm and now her big brother Losti ! Well she does misses those thing..or rather she does crave for those things, to finally know how it feel to have somewhere she belong, to have that heartfire. The bullying of the other students sure isn't making her feel any better ..quite funny that they think they are picking on a simple breton girl but in truth they are playing with fire as they are messing with a Daedra..and she sure could wipe them out easily..but she keeps it cool and ignore most of it. Holding on to that gentle heart of hers. I have no doubt that stern Avrien is quite the teacher and task master so i'm not surprise that she is making quite alot of progress in those domains....though her respecting him doesn't mean she's not planning some other prank to try on him ! lol.
I just couldn't pass the whole cat nip thing with a khajiit...the whole thing was screaming Sannedia lol. And well I couldn't pass on the whole "bag of tricks" incident either lol !! She's still quite traumatized by it lol. In a way, Sandy is a bit like Grim on that. She doesn't like being stuck at one place for too long..or rather confined to the same place. Though I suspect her being "trapped" in the same pocket realm for 200 years have alot to do with this. She is very happy travelling and exploring Nirn with Garm at her side, it makes her very happy. Hopefully this little Daedra will find her place !
I'm glad you enjoyed this little tale Thank you dear !
Anyway...Good to little Sandy back in business!
Hehe yes, she is back in business !
I'm sure things will get better for this little redhead though she might not exactly be out of the woods yet. Garm and Sandy are so adorable together. Quite funny as everytime that Sandy goes near Garm her expression goes from neutral to happy.
Thank you dear !
