Aldrik of Helgen and Ralof of Riverwood leaving the Helgen cave. Taken on 2012-10-25. No shadows or antialiasing, since my video card back then couldn't handle them.

Aldrik is my first and still highest-level character (level 43). A Nord barbarian, I started him in October 2012 when I first got Skyrim; I last played him in January 2013.* He's currently parked on the Windhelm bridge, riding off to I-forget-where.

When I last left Aldrik, he had defeated Alduin, become Harbinger of the Companions, won the Civil War for Ulfric, wiped out the Dark Brotherhood, solved the Windhelm murder mystery and settled in Hjerim, married Ralof of Riverwood (thanks to this mod), and adopted Sophie the flower girl.

Here's a more recent shot of him. I may post more of his backstory later, along with some more pics. Who knows, I may even reboot him someday like I did with Andil, Aronil, and Avos Athren.

* I re-saved him a year later, in January 2014. I'd dropped Better Horses in favor of Convenient Horses in the meantime, and I wanted to run BH's uninstaller on his save to keep it playable. Frankly, I'm surprised he's still playable at all, considering all the mods I've added and removed since starting him (and all the [NR] bugs his save must have, since I hadn't discovered the Unofficial Patches yet).

I was feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to post my very first image again. I suppose it has not been that long ago but from the looks of it.. a completely different time. Maybe others will post their first images, as well. Could be considered... Fun?

    I remember what my skyrim looked like when I first got it. I may not have an ENB but I am glad for other texture and lighting. Even my graphic card looks good too. Thanks for taking me back, because the first time making a character and his story and just playing the game was a good feeling.

    No matter how good looking I make my game i will never have the same felling as I did with vanilla skyrim. So thinks again for taking me back Aaron.

    Nice summary of a cool character. Sounds like my first game with no mods, enb's or much of anything. I don't have any shots of those games, or the games themselves. When I make a new character I tend to always delete all the saves and all the images. A new character to me is a whole new soul. It is the character re-born out of the Dreamsleeve. I always like to start fresh. Just the way I am.

      I rarely delete screenshots or old saves; I just move them into subfolders so they don't clutter up my main Saves and Screenshots folders.
