Dual Wielding - bashing and blocking

  • This mod allows dual wielder to block and bash, both which are already contained within the "Enhanced normal attack and control" of Engarde.
  • It is incompatible because it essentially modifies the exact part.


Ultimate Combat:
  • New attacks added by UC are not interruptable by stagger
  • Ultimate Combat seems to have stagger immunity after a certain number of attacks


Character Behaviors Enhanced:
  • Held power attacks only works for forward power attack, and it'll be held until a left mouse button is clicked.

CACO (Complete Alchemy and Cooking overhaul)
  • It's grenade feature overwrites player race's attack data on game load, thus breaking the stagger feature of Engarde
  • Work around is to turn off CACO's bomb throwing feature by doing this in console:
  • stopQuest CACO_GrenadeMaintenanceQuest
  • save and restart the game
  • To re-enable CACO's bomb throwing, do:
  • startQuest CACO_GrenadeMaintenanceQuest
  • save and restart the game

    Hi, any possibility you could add a way to toggle the inability to attack on 0 stam? I've found it makes combat against ice mages VERY frustrating, but otherwise I like the mod..

    Hi, I wonder if it's possible for this to be compatible with Inpa - Sekiro combat. Primarily I just want the parrying from that mod as well as the spell reflection. Also would be using this with Attack Behaviour Revamp but I think that won't cause any issues as that is attack behaviour and not really touched by this mod

      I'm thinking of trying out Attack Behaviour Revamp for testing. However, be mindful of choosing attack full commitment version since it eliminates directional attacks. You may have to find a mod that allows such attack, but sadly the only one I can think of is from Better Power Attack Direction Control - SSE. There is little luck with SLE.

      As for Inpa's Sekiro Combat compatibility I haven't tried it also. But judging from the page's compatibility notes it's highly unlikely. Although you can just try a makeshift version with these mods:
      Additionally, I can confirm you that Engarde + Combo Animation Framework ( SLE | SSE) + New Weapon Types works seemingly together. Tried all possible combos (Mofu Combo Anim) for one-handed, runs without any problem, it should also work with other weapon types.

      I feel like they're designed for different kinds of playthroughs, both seem fun and challenging but Inpa Sekiro is flashy and fantastical and works better paired with Ultimate Combat and CGO. Engarde seems more grounded and realistic and works well alone.

      have you looked at wildcat? it doesnt change anything that this mod changes.

      Wildcat so far is compatible and safe.

      I haven't tried to change its difficulty yet. Although you may need to tweak other settings such as attack stamina consumption to different values or '0'.

      I'll make several test run from other combat mods and list them.
