For all of you who are wondering where all the clues and extra books are in the game are, here is the list.

1. The Dread Lord - Aventus Aretino's House - Dresser
2. The Void - Abandoned Shack - Table
3. Third Tenet - Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary - Astrid's Room
4. The Nightmother's Children - Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary - on dresser in sleep area
MAIN QUEST CLUES:
1. Thalmor Orders - usually found on any thalmor justiciar or soldier.
2. Secret Imperial Orders - found on almost any Imperial steward (Avenecci) or steward in Imperial territory.
3. Letter to Vittoria - found on the noble who is going to attend Vitoria's wedding
4. Letter to Elenwen - Found in the Thalmor Embassy during main questline in Elenwen's office
5. Motierre's Journal - can be pickpocketed or found once killed at end of quest
6. Letter to Titus - Found on Titus himself OR in a bedroom in Castle Dour
7. Titus' Journal - Found in his quarters after assasinations
FINALLY -
8. Royal Decree - there are 2! Find the first on the emperor, but in order to save the empire (as the Thalmor could still enforce the decree if they have a copy), you have to discover the location of the 2nd one. You will get a bonus if you do! (hint: location in the Emperor's journal) - Sorry I will NOT give this last location away. PM me if you get stuck!

For those bellyaching about lore, there are additional clues from books that were actually written by Bethesda. First we have the book about the Blades and how their function was to find and protect the dragonborn - candidates for emperor because back then the title wasn't hereditary. Of course what the Blades didn't count on was the fact that Hjalti who was later to become Talos was actually a scumbag. He murdered his friend and supporter, Cuhlecain, who was King of Falkrieth, and trapped the soul of his mentor who taught him the Way of the Voice, Wulfharth, so that he could power the Numidium and control the Tribunal. All in all, a deceitful, lying, scumbag who could never accept "Candidates for Emperor." Whether Tiber Septim (Talos) helped the Aldmeri Dominion to kill off the Blades or he did it himself, by the time Pelagius took the throne it was pretty clear that the covenant with Akatosh had nothing to do with who ruled the empire because Pelagius was not only not Dragonborn, he was insane. Suddenly the Blades believe that their purpose is to guide the Dragonborn to kill dragons. Nope, not at all.
Let me bottom line this: Let's say I find something, a document, let's say. My experience? So that's where it was. I really could have used this when I needed it... I'll reload a save. Fun value? Zero.
If the author is unable or unwilling to put in quest markers for these clues, that's fine but that job has to be done by an article labelled "**SPOILERS** - CLUE LIST". I mean, really. Anyone who comes here obviously doesn't care about spoilers. And the result of not having spoilers for things I'm looking for? Most of it does not have a walk through or a Wiki page, Everything I do during my search will most likely be lost in a save reload. After 20 minutes of not finding what I need I'll be annoyed; after an hour I'll be wanting to put my fist through my screen.
Trying to figure out what to do, where to go, and where to find it have never been a part of this game's mechanics... and for good reason. Discovery only leads to resentment and failure to discover only leads to frustration.

Okay, I know that the second "Official Decree" is somewhere in the Thalmor Embassy, but could somebody tell me WHERE in the Thalmor Embassy? I can't find it anywhere and I'm pretty sure I've opened every damn container in both buildings.
I've tried to PM you, as per your instructions, but I can't. I keep getting the message that I don't have permission to do so.
Could you please tell me what the Journal saysl, Mordivier2? I just want to know what the clue is so that I can try to find the second decree.
