Simple Taxes was originally inspired by a comment someone left on my site, Skyrim MW. It was a tutorial I'd made on how to script an event happening every week, and they asked if I could create a mod that would make the player pay taxes every week for horses, houses, and followers. I was currently working on a WIP project at the time (and I still am, you can find the thread here), so I said I wouldn't be able to at the moment. I searched the Nexus for a mod that would do something similar to what they were asking for, and surprisingly, came up with nothing. I searched a bit more and didn't find any, and then thought more about actually creating the mod. Since I had the skills, I figured I might as well create it, because there might be other people out there looking for a similar mod. In the first release of Simple Taxes, only house and horse taxes are included, but it also has an MCM to customize all of its features. Once I have the time, I intend to add a feature for followers, debt collectors, and more - all completely adjustable. Until then, thanks to the entire Nexus community for creating such a great place to host mods.
