I tested it in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and confirmed that it works by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F6. However, excessive pixel shimmering occurred. I tried applying each preset from the modder's file, but the shimmering issue could not be resolved.
That's because it disables the frame blending pass of DLSS that results in blur, however the jitter component of TAA remains in tact sadly so you will get shimmering.
However I do include some ReShade presets you can use to reduce the shimmering to some extent if it's too distracting
Not really. TAA stands for Temporal Anti-Aliasing, which works in conjunction with light refraction. Forcing it off may sometimes cause incorrect light paths, leading to flickering reflections. For FF7, simply turning off Bloom will resolve the issue. To disable Bloom, you can use a MOD.
Yes really. The jitter causes jittering/ excessive shimmering when frame blending is off cause they work in conjunction. Thats whats causing this graphics problem
Can you help me? I have a severe ghosting on Expedition 33 and its dont has option to disable upscaling, so i have been trying disable TAA, even with your DLSS (TAAless) i have this ghosting:
@khazar321 Thanks for this tip, i set to J now; I cant confirm if its fix because i have continued playing, and util now and this problem only is perceptive on this mansion.
@TheHybred Yes its working! "Also ghosting can be caused by RTGI, disabling TAA won't fix it" I see, maybe its the real problem, because some lights getting flickering too. But like i said to Khazar, im have progress in the history, and its so evident on other places in this game. Thanks for info and this mod too!!!
I appreciate the mod. it looks useful. However I find the description of what it does, to be rather confusing;
1. Disables anti-aliasing in titles with forced TAA a. This mod appears to be for people are going to use DLSS. But dont games already disable TAA and all other AA methods when DLSS or DLAA is enabled? b. Is this mod somehow able to remove all AA and TAA when neither DLSS or DLAA is being used? For example in games that do not support DLSS
2. Forces DLAA Enabling DLSS upscaling also enables DLAA. Is there a need to force DLAA? If DLAA cannot be selected when DLSS is disabled, isnt the workaround simply to run DLSS with scaling 1.0?
3. Enhances DLSS image quality Based on the installation guide, this 'enhancement' appears to be disabling frame blending because you claim it is not needed when TAA is disabled. However in one of your earlier responses, you explained that this causes shimmering to appear. How is this considered a straight 'enhancement' to image quality? What is the point of breaking DLAA and then trying to patch it with reshade?
4. Provides custom scaling factors This is straightforward and I have no issue
Other: The DLAA (TAAless) version of the mod has instruction for the advanced method which 'can improve image quality'. > Can you explain what it does besides forcing all DLSS scaling to 1.0 and preset K? > Does this advanced method still require hitting Ctrl-Alt-F6 to disable frame blending?
Am I missing something or is the only special thing about this mod is disabling frame blending?
Hi, when it comes to modding i'm a newbie. Can someone please make a video (with a url link provided); explaining the instillation steps/ guides for each of the mods listed on the DLSS Enhancer download page. Thanks
When I go to do "step 9 Run Disable DLSS UI.reg" I get an error message saying something about the key not being written correctly. I fixed it by accessing the file as administrator, but because there was no "run as administrator" option in the windows drop-down i had to log out and log in to my admin account to do it, which there was no indication I'd need to do. Also during the later step to set the resolution to 1x Native, I couldn't find that option in the profile inspector and my progress halted there.
What does the Reg file do? would there be a reason to need to reverse it at some point? cause i dont see any info on reversing it. Also where do i actually make it use only ultra quality 84% "Ultra Quality+ - Balanced+ (84%, 76%, 66%, 62%)" There is no info on where i force it to use a specific value.
Nope, just turn of anti-aliasing, make sure resolution is at 100%, and that nanite/lumen is off, and screen space reflections, and the game will look good without AA

And no this reg file does not cause any issues, it just allows you to modify DLSS if you choose
