hello guys i wanna reach out to the skyrim guys here if you using skyrim upscaler Framegen alpha 3 i got it running (i think) with dlsstweaks version 0.90 i have a 3070ti so no frame gen 4 me till now so what i did was... i use NOLVUSv5 modlist btw...
1. I installd dlsstweaks into skyrim root and started dlsstweaks once without any changes and closed it again
2. installd Skyrim upscaler FG alpha03 via modmanager and activated it mo2.
3. installd dlssg to fsr3 into the root folder of skyrim (not with mo2) example (my root is this one cuz of nolvus: D:\Nolvus\Nolvus Ascension\STOCK GAME)
4. open up the dlsstweaks.ini in your skyrim root and do the install instuctions 4 dlsstweaks version of this mod (dlssg to fsr3) ini settingsexample 4 me (nvngx_dlssg = D:\Nolvus\Nolvus Ascension\STOCK GAME\dlssg_dlsstweaks_wrapper.dll)
4.1 (Dlssg to FSR3 dlsstweaks edition - Readme) Steps 1 and 2 we did already
4.1. Locate your game's installation folder with DLSSTweaks (e.g. _nvngx.dll) installed. 4.2. Copy "dlssg_dlsstweaks_wrapper.dll" and "dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll" to your game's installation folder. 4.3. Find "dlsstweaks.ini" and open it in Notepad. 4.4. Find the line "[DLLPathOverrides]" after scrolling down to the middle of the INI file. 4.5. Find the line ";nvngx_dlssg = C:\Users\Username\...\nvngx_dlssg.dll" underneath. 4.6. Replace the line with "nvngx_dlssg =C:\Path\To\The\Game\dlssg_dlsstweaks_wrapper.dll". You MUST TYPE THE FULL DLL PATH and remove the ";" at the beginning.dlssg-to-fsr3 may not work otherwise. 4.7. Done. A log file named "dlssg_to_fsr3.log" will be created after you launch the game.
5. If you use Reshade dont forget to replace the modified dxgi.dll from puredark 4 proper reshade
6. started the game via modmanager loaded my save watchd my reshade and nvidia fps counter pressd END (bring up the upscaler menu) activate dlssframe gen and there you go fps are rising...
try yourself i hope im not dreaming :P and sry 4 my english its not my native language i hope you understand what im trying to tell :D let me know if its working 4 you <3 cheers
I followed Tulip59's instructions and I get the dlsstweaks and dlssg_to_fsr3 logs, and both show everything running fine, but I don't see any increase in frames. In fact coming out of Helgen I lose 3 FPS. I've tried disabling my nVidia reflex mode, but that didn't help. Are there engine fixes setting you are both using?
Did u use FPS Counter from enb helper or NVIDIA Experience/Afterburner? Please use Nvidia or Afterburner to see realtime increase FPS, ENB only count for ENB FPS only.
Btw did u use Puredark DLSS FG 3? U need to use DLSS FG 3 to enable frame generation to get FPS Boost.
I use the FPS counter from SSE Display Tweaks and I was using Puredark's FS Alpha 3. I'll try the Nvidia Experience FPS counter, but I don't experience an increase in frames coming out of Helgen. It still felt like the low fps I was experiencing previously.
I did forget to mention that I'm on a laptop so my card is a RTX3080 (laptop). Perhaps it doesn't work with laptop cards.
Of course it work, u try open DLSS GUI inside game [END] button, uncheck those Frame Generation option, if u see your framerate hugely decrease, that mean its work out.
U also can turn on both your frame rate from Nvidia experience and ENB frame rate counter should be different. Nvidia frame rate should be higher that ENB frame counter.
And make sure you download dlssg-to-fsr3-0.90 (DLSSTweaks Edition)
If still not work. maybe u need help support from mod author.
It works even without all of this. Just download the normal version and put the 2 files next SkyrimSE.exe. That's it lol. Open the GUI ingame with END key and activate dlssfg. Works also with Fallout4 and a all games with puredark dlss fg mod.
Hi bud, thanks for this, with your tutorial I've been able to get dlssg_to_fsr3.log file generating but my game still crashes. The only thing I can not which I assume is the issue is that I'm using Reshade.
Can you explain what you mean by: "5. If you use Reshade dont forget to replace the modified dxgi.dll from puredark 4 proper reshade"
Edit: I figured it out. Puredark does offer a modified dxgi.dll that you need to replace the default reshade one with and if you don't, and use reshade, the game won't launch.
