Hello, Yeah it's just the way it works for most rpgmaker games, though there's one big mod that uses a custom folder, which is the mods folder inside the www folder https://github.com/mattieFM/FearAndHungerModManager. The author of the mods has said that they're gonna take a look into publishing their mod at nexus. Other than that then yeah, there's no other mods currently that uses the above mod's API.
I understand and should i remove the extension from nexus ?
I''m going to rework Fear Hunger extension a little and unhide it. I'm aware that it'll never be added to the manifest because most mods are assets replacer a.k.a reskin mods and plugin mods but it's fine right ?
We are more than happy to host your extension while you re-work it and will review your changes once they're applied. RPGMaker games are indeed tricky to mod.

First of all thank you for your contribution to Vortex!
I've had a look through your extension and unfortunately it does not seem to be fit for purpose for any mods beyond complete asset replacements.
Most mods require intricate merging into the game files to add new content, and the current code will not support that.
For this reason I'm afraid we will not add your extension to the manifest.
