Really wish you would add this to MO2 or have an offline version available for download, my browser crashes every time, and pasting the plugins list doesnt do anything.
The site crashes the browser because I have too many mods in the Data folder. Is there some sort of workaround? It would be beneficial if it could function off just the plugins list.
Thank you again for making this amazing tool. I am a MO2 user, but I don't seem to be able to drag and drop my MO2 mods folder onto modmapper. Whenever I do, it says "Found no plugins in the folder. Please select the Data folder underneath the Skyrim installation folder." Is there any fix for this?
Edit: I am using a portable install of MO2 because I am using a Wabbajack mod list.
It says that I can drag and drrop the mods folder, but when i do I get `Found no plugins in the folder. Please select the Data folder underneath the Skyrim installation folder.`.
And if i try and drag the folder of each mod individually, it just loads the plugins from the latest one.
Would it be possible to take the UESP skyrim holds color map and overlap it on your websites map, such that i can (as close as possible) make an educated guess on what cells are in what holds? working on a project where i kinda need to know what cells are part of what holds. I have done a test bit of the map around whiterun and manually figured out a few X columns, but its super slow.
You can load your Skyrim Data directory to the site and see what cells are edited by the whole LO (and where multiple mods may make conflicting edits to the same cells).
If you mean a custom heatmap based just on your LO, that's not currently possible, but that's an interesting idea.
Modmapper now maps all Classic Skyrim (LE) mods in addition to Skyrim SE mods. That brings the total mapped mods to 85,939 now (containing 256,220 files, 440,058 plugins, and 28,696,732 recorded CELL edits).
I added an additional filter to the mod lists that allows you to filter to Skyrim LE, SE, or both. When you search for a mod, LE mods will be prefixed with "[LE]" and SE mods with "[SE]".
Edit: whoops just realized I missed about 1500 pages of the older Skyrim LE mods, gonna download those now as well. It will take a bit to go through those.
I just released a new update (at https://modmapper.com) that adds some more functionality:
Allows you to select a particular file and plugin underneath a mod and see the cell edits that each makes. Now you can check how the edits change through each version of a mod.
A new "Add mod" button which opens a dialog to search for a mod, then select a plugin within that mod, and add it to your list. This "Added plugins" list is separate from the plugins that you might have added by selecting your Data folder. This can be useful for exploring how a a new mod might conflict with your load order, or for exploring a new load order.
In general, improved some of the performance and usability of the tool. Search now loads in the background without freezing the page, hiding and showing the sidebar has less lag. List of mods and cells now has pagination.
Fixed a bug that was preventing all Nexus mods a plugin belongs to from showing up in the list on the plugin detail page.
This extension on the files tab will only work with Vortex. However, if you visit https://modmapper.com/ directly, you should be able to select the Mod Organizer mods folder (usually at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Skyrim Special Edition\mods). I'm working on better support for Mod Organizer.
For some reason, the site seems to get stuck at about 10% loaded plugins when I upload my mods. It's not crashing, but it never finishes the process. I read on the Trello page that it crashes when there's 1000+ plugins but my current profile only has 578. I even left the page up and running overnight and it was still stuck on the same number of plugins loaded.
