Rework of the extension is underway, we're figuring out other mod patterns such as Mod Engine 2, me3, Elden Mod Loader, etc It would help a lot if we can get testers and mod directory patterns for every api..
I tried using this mod to mod the game, but after installing mods via vortex, and then running elden ring via vortex, just the base game runs, it puts me in offline mode, but no mods are present.
Same here. Tried different deployment methods and changing the staging path, nothing happened, still the base game. Very disappointed in Vortex; switching to mod engine 2
You should check the missing mod's archives. Mod authors tend to break modding conventions and put their files in the wrong folder. Actually any subfolder in the archive makes the mod inaccessible in game. Just tested this with the Peaceful Ring mod.
Same issue. I've modded the heck out of Skyrim and Fallout with no issue using Vortex, but this just doesn't seem to work. There's also surprisingly little support for Vortex. Everyone is pushing MO2. I suppose I'll have to use that instead.
I know this is old, but how did you put the Peaceful Ring mod in? I accidentally launched the game from Steam after playing with the MO2 and now no matter what fix I've done the mod doesn't load. So now I'm turning to Vortex, but its just a .bin file.
Thank you for this extension. Used in conjunction with Elden Mod Loader, Vortex handles Elden Ring mods quite well. It took me only a few minutes to install Elden Mod Loader and a few other mods, after which I was off and running.
Hey Guys, is it possible to only use visual mods in one version of the game and have another folder without mods so I don't get banned for playing online? would this help to do it?
vortex automatically installed this for me already, but i have a question, when i try to launch elden ring off vortex nothing happens, it just won't launch. is there something i need to do in order for it to work?
Some mods require unpacking and patching the game with UXM and playing offline. You should do that after each update. Also if you running the game on win 7 or your GPU doesn't support DX 12 you could try this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/12 Anti cheat may cause problem too. Try this to toggle anti cheat when playing offline: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/90 Aso some mods don't have the correct folder structure so you have to fix that before enabling the mod on vortex so the files send to correct path.
me and a friend are using this mod to play together, with some cheats like unlimited FP, but it's not letting us join after a couple minutes but overall, great mod when it works
On steam: Right-click on Eldenring-> manage-> browse local files It will open Elden ring's folder. You should select that folder when Vortex asks for the Elden ring's location. If you want to change it later go to the games tab on Vortex then click on + sign on Elden ring's Image then select: "manually set location".
