About this mod
Gain performance by putting all the Carrier ships and mines out to pasture.

Since SINS cannot benefit from multiple cores, we have to find ways to ease the strain on the CPU. I found that the removal of all carrier ships (the frigate that can launch 2 squadrons) helps with performance the most. So this is what this mod does, it kicks them out of the premises. Now neither the AI, which has a particular admiration for those ships nor the player will be able to build them, or research upgrades for them.
You can also fully disable all mines & minefields, which come at a high fps price especially in mid-late game. - Recommended
# Usage
Use either of the 2 available mods, they're self documenting.
You will notice a significant performance increase if you disable mines and carrier ships.
If you don't want mines disabled then just download the carriers only mod
Extract the contents (one folder) to the location: ~\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.xx\
Replace xx with your game version. Tested to work from v1.7 upwards.
Note that I used a Steam version of the game.
It shouldn't matter though.
