absolute game changer, using a 4080 and went from 55-60 in prison to hovering around 70+, all settings maxed, WITH rt, NATIVE resolution at 1440p. i also downloaded your optimizer for stalker 2 and that was also incredibly helpful. AMAZING JOB!
Your mod actually works. I tried some of the other mods on Nexus, but they all change the visuals and I like the original visuals. That is why I like your mod because it does the job without changing the visuals. I am playing with an RTX 4080, 4k everything on ultra + RT and I got good fps, but the stuttering was awful. But with your mod, the game feels so smooth. Thank you!!!
I have a Ryzen 5 2600, a Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card and 16gb of ram, and I did set up the game in 1080p with the epic graphics preset. Normally I'd have a shitty fps count I guess, given my specs, but with your mod I'm getting an average 49/55fps count in the Toluca Armory save you provided! If that's the most demanging spot in the game I'm basically in the clear for everything else!
Great mod! BOOST it allows me to play the game with rtx on without issues... well, there's just 2 issues. SSS seems to be broken in the bad sense, instead of being just disabled, it's like it's values go sky high, and James's hears become headlights, there's also something going on with the way hair glows when something like the TV in woodside shines.
My mom wants to play this game with me, it's a little activity we have, and i think the SSS thing will kinda ruin the immersion for her, is there any way to fix it? i don't mean it as in "making it work like it does by default" but rather just totally disabling it.
Thanks for the reply, i went and tried it but the fps went where not good enough, i think i'll stick with boost. maybe i'll find a solution for the SSS issue at some point on my playthrough.
btw, is there anywhere i can learn to do all this modding thingy? i've done mods in the past, would be cool to learn to mod this game too.
works great, started up the game and immediatly have 10% more fps with the base version. i used your stalker 2 mod when it came out which also worked perfectly.
while other mods somehow even decrease my frames rather than incresasing it.
Does the "disable Vignette / CA" also affect the 90s visual preset? I'm using a mod from nexus to remove the vignette specifically in the 90s preset but unfortunately can't remove the CA. I tried Ultra+ with CA off and its still there in the 90s preset
Thanks for the prompt reply! I just decided to use another reshade that emulates the "OG PS2" era, which looks fantastic. I had to reinstall the game to be able to fully get rid of U+ and gonna try your mod now. I do have a question though. As my quality preset is set to Epic, if one enables RTAO, does it override SSAO? (As that will be enabled in Advanced) You also can't use GTAO at the same time if I understand it correctly right?
Even on my setup, (7800x3d+4090) using RR doesn't seem to make a gigantic difference and the performance loss is drastic, plus it's crashed a few times with it, so I might omit it.
Your "base" mod, doesn't really affect anything visually as much as U+ does right? I didn't like how U+ just made everything ultra reflective, like every single car window and walls ...
The vanilla game doesn't use RTAO. Read again what I wrote there: Enable Ray Traced Ambient Occlusion instead of SSAO (which is always used by default, even when Raytracing ON).
My 2080 doesn't perform very well when using the BASE MOD, but it's like being injected with adrenaline when using the boost mod. May I ask which special effects you turned off or reduced in the boost MOD
Though, maybe it's just placebo but I've noticed the HDR presentation seems weaker than vanilla. Has anyone else noticed it? Did you changed any UE5 values that has some connection to HDR?
Loved your mod i am playing a second playthrough with the base boost version and the gain in fps is astronomical, but i noticed using this version, i cant use the latest version of dlss even with the override unlike the base version which let me use DLSS 4... idk if that was clear enough for you to see the picture,,, but anyhow your work is amazing that was my only gripe with it so far, and thank you !!!
This worked shockingly well! Getting an extra 10-30FPS. It finally made the game playable (and enjoyable) on Steam Deck with the base boost version. Thanks so much!!!

I forgot to record video comparison in Toluca Prison, but uploaded the save file yesterday so everyone could test it there too.

Thanks on advanced!
Try using the BASE mod instead. And add these lines to your Engine.ini file:
[SystemSettings]
r.Nanite=0
That's the biggest fps boost.

great work, thanks!
If you followed instructions - correct path - the mod works.

Yes - this mod doesn't change the game's graphics/visual quality.

Big boost for Rtx 2050 - 8gb ram system.
Inventory screen background is a bit mushy but main gameplay is great due to this mod.
Endorsed.
