in some animations (like cutscene when james getting a key from a jacket on a floor) he has flying buttons. i also noticed something weird when i was holding a gun about his sleeves or hands, but it's a new playthrough, so i can't yet confirm it to current version
The reason I think this looks a bit odd is that there's no hair follicles at all and looks like one even skin texture, which is very uncommon in real life unless you laser your scalp. People who shave their heads would have a hair shadow of the hair under the skin, so the hairline would be visible for example, and would be a darker skin tone compared to actual skin.
I'd suggest editing the texture and apply dots, to represent hair follicles, you can match the hairline and temple points with how James' hair actually looks. To make it easier for testing, you could make a grey shadow on the texture, get the look you want in-game, then add dots for hair follicles.
If you want to make it more fitting to this games atmosphere, you can apply some cuts and bruises or add some dirt.
Yeh, that's true. That's some pretty descriptive criticism, thanks.I originally had it close to as you described, but then I went overboard with the clean shave. I'll see what I can do! :)
It's a bit buggy. Here's a fix for you. You don't have to change his model for this. It won't work later in the game anyway. Just make his hair invisible like in my Dead James mod. The texture is in Game\Characters\Humans\JamesSunderland\Hair\Textures -> James_HairCards_ADR.png Make this texture completely blue. And then use your bald textures from James. You must overwrite all these textures: CH_James_Skin_Face_02_TB.png CH_James_Skin_Face_BloodDiffuse.png CH_James_Skin_Face_TB.png 😊
Maybe I was just injured or something, but in my savegame James had a different head texture. The model may remain the same. But some items of clothing, his face and his hands will get dirtier over time in the game.
I did some mesh "tweaks", otherwise that would be the optimal way to go about it. The mod was already replacing: CH_James_Skin_Face_BloodDiffuse and CH_James_Skin_Face_TB. I did change CH_James_Skin_Face_02_TB, but forgot to include it in my Unreal Engine project. I'll stay on the look out for any comments about that "bug" until I can play again.

Let me know if the new replacements fix this issue, thanks folks!

The late game texture has a "scar" up his back of head.
Maybe you can find out :)
I'll see what I can do about that scar in the back of the head!
