OK so I did some testing and it looks like this mod works as it should. :)

All you need to do is confirm your config file settings.

For even XP distribution, make sure "IsShared = true" and simply set the "PartyExpRate" value to percentage of XP shared to each party member, ignoring the "0.".

My example below is for 50/50 split for 2 member party:

Other examples are 0.33 for party of 3, 0.125 for party of 8 - just divide 1 by party size! ;)

Also, I can confirm that XP is no longer wasted on dead companions as I received half XP with 1 companion then full XP once she died and I killed mobs solo.

I set the config as you recommended but now I'm only receiving 1 exp per kill I make personally and no exp registered for party member kills.

That means that your PartyExpRate number is incorrect and you have too large a fraction (eg - setting 0.5 when there is yourself and 2 others in the party). The easiest way to get it set correctly is divide 1 by the number of people in the party (player INCLUDED) as 86one said.
      Quick numbers:
      2 peeps (Player and 1 other) = 0.5
      3 peeps (player and 2 other) = 0.33
      4 peeps (player and 3 other) = 0.25
if using the warparty mod with increased npc's then here are the numbers:
      5 peeps (Player and 4 other) = 0.20
6 peeps (Player and 5 other)  = 0.166 (should be fine if not just use the first 2 digits after the point/period)
      7 peeps (Player and 6 other) = 0.142
8 peeps (Player and 7 other) = 0.125 (this is the max that you can have in a party using the warparty mod WITHOUT duping characters. If you want a bigger party then use the addcompainion mod and go bonkers - but you'll hafta do the maths yourself :)

As of today I still have no clue on what to do with this mod. How can I edit the exp that is divided amongst the party? Where is the setting parameter I am supposed to edit? All I got is a .dll file which I assumued I should put inside BepInEx plugin folder. Any ideas on how to properly use this mod?

Gonna sound dumb but when I change this it either says "Open" or "Closed"  Which is the one to share XP without reducing the killer's gains?

I highly recommend not using vortex for anything but skyrim and fallout. This game is easy to mod, as most mods here are plugins for belpinex

Nah, you can use Vortex with more games than that, just not this one (or games that use BepInEx in general).

Can i not have them all get the same xp as the killer?  like if someone kills a skeleton and they get 130xp can i make it so everyone in party gets 130xp
    instead of 22xp

Version 1.1 isn't tagged properly so the mod manager reads it as still being version 1.0.

Also thanks for coming back and keeping your mods up to date!

Despite the author no longer supporting this mod it seems to be working as of version 0.790. Can anyone confirm or deny?
