i got the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Assertion failed proble and i dont know how to fixing because i cant install the framework links that someone has given as a fix and visual code thingy didnt work somebody can make a tutorial about it how to fix it?
Hey awesome work thank you ! Maybe a dumb question, but what is the difference with Audio Restoration Project for Shenmue 1 ? Will you work on Shenmue 1 also ?
This is awesome great work! Cool that you even went & fixed the timings for the dialogue.
This maybe a stretch (and unrelated to this) as I know the Shenmue modding community is very small & I have no idea how difficult it is to mod either game outside textures/meshes; has anyone thought about implementing the cassette player from Shenmue 1 into the game? Thought it was sorta lame they got rid of it all those years ago when I started playing, of course its just a small little commodity. They never did let you play it in the background either while you were traversing.
Whenever I try to launch the game with the mod I get the following error "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Assertion failed" Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
I don't know if this has been reported/noticed by you already or not, but the mod seems to mess somehow with the voice and music of the intro sequence, it looks like a problem with timings between the tracks. I've watched the intro without the mod and everything is correct, so it must be something related to the new audio files.
I love seeing that you fixed the timings, too. Is there any hope for a similar project soon for Shenmue 1's Japanese dub? Dewey's improved audio quality is a great start, but other issues are still present there.
Thanks for the excellent work here, regardless. I was waiting for Dewey to finish the Japanese dub for what felt like forever, but this is even better.

For comparisons you can check it here:

I like the Female voice, but at the same time. The Male voice is originally "his" voice and he is a crossdresser after all.
Will decide which t o choose for sure!
Thank You!!

Also make sure to install MS Visual Code which also fixes some of the issues.

I have install this and I have never have any problems in older games or opening files with Japanese texts.
EDIT: It should be fixed now (v1.25).
