Greetings. I have downloaded the mod and i was wondering how can i enjoy it. Must i start a new game? When the new content will be available? At what point of the game, exactly? How will it start?

More than half the time when I start a mission and hire shadowrunners I do not get the initial screen to distribute equipment. So no auto doc s or in some cases the hired help has no equipment at all. Otherwise I am enjoying it, and I like some of the references and jokes.

    **Spoilers**

When I got to the Avenue Six run to rescue Bob, i killed all the Avenue Six Girls, and triggered the conversation where Bob's Girlfriend Cassie reveals her face-heal turn. I killed the Avenue Six leader, then Cassie surrendered, and gained a speech bubble, while the gang leader's corpse got a loot tag. I happened to be standing closer to the corpse than to Cassie, so I grabbed the corpse loot first, planning to talk to Cassie next. As soon as I looted the corpse, Cassie despawned, leaving me with nothing interactable that I can reach (door on Bob's cell still closed) and no way to continue with the game.

I was able to get past this after reloading from an earlier save by talking to Cassie first, then looting the corpse. This still needs a fix, though: the order you do these in shouldn't matter, and especially shouldn't break the game entirely.

Ah, couldn't seem to replicate the problem, but I went thru the code of the Scene and added another failsafe variable to check for Cassie's states before making her disappear. Will be present in 0.39.

Also, would appreciate if you would add a spoiler alert tag on the big plot twist of Act 1. Many thanks.

I'm having a similar problem -- I can enter the room where Bob is, but I can't talk to him even though he has a speech bubble above his head. I ran into the same issue a couple of times in Dead Man's Switch (after the fight with Dr. Holmes and the fight in the cemetery), and in both cases the problem occurred if you loaded a game that was saved after the fight. However, I've tried loading a game that was saved before confronting Babs, and it didn't help.

I've also noticed a few minor issues, mostly "continuity" issues:

      - At the very beginning of the game, Bob says something to Jim, but Jim's reply still shows Bob's name and portrait.

      - Dr. Detroit's portrait shows a white man with a red beard, but his avatar/sprite is a clean-shaven black man.

      - If you take the job from him, he gives you "half the money I promised" even if you hadn't discussed payment.

      - Although it's not a bug, it would be nice if there were an option to say "I have my hands full now, but maybe later" instead of either accepting the job or turning down for good.

      - When you listen to the messages on Bob's vidphone, you assume that he's already heard them. If that were the case, why does it still say he has two *new* messages?

      - After you talk to Babs on Cassie's vidphone, there's still a speech bubble appearing above the vidphone even though nothing happens if you click on it.

      - When you first arrive at Avenue Six, your companions can move normally, but the PC can't do anything until the second turn.

      - Also, it's kind of frustrating that your PC only gets 2 AP/turn when all your companions have 3.

All the npc's in the first fight give an immortal message when their health gets too low.

Fighting is not always the best solution, especially when met with overpowering opposition. Sometimes, it's best to pick your fights.

Okay, how am I even supposed to play this? Very first fight I get utterly destroyed by mages I can't hit who have huge health, 20 dmg fire spells and heal for more than any damage I do? This is not a balanced encounter.

Also, why am I a 34 karma starter geared character in a party of 3AP experts? Actually, your characters have a LOT of issues. The troll has two katanas, and a smartlinked pistol he can't use due to not having a datajack, the decker has 2 esps but only the starting deck, which can only use one, the mage supposedly has a fireball spell, but it doesn't show up in combat.

-edit- okay, managed to get past the first fight after another couple of goes. When you put the objective as 'survive the ambush', my first thought was 'I have cover in here, I'll turtle up and fight from here' not 'I better run before the ELITE MAGES OF DOOM show up'. Still, you really should look at the builds of your characters and enemies.

Well done UGC. Well balanced, offering a good challenge.

    some constructive critics

Hiring Shadowrunners: after hiring one or more shadowrunners, they still continue to appears like sideciks and doesn't disappaer, often generating clones of themselfs. Those clones during a mission didn't follow the user charatcher, but they become active during battles.

Portraits: sure this great portraits collection caught a lot of your free time and efforts. I notice that some caratchers has been improoved from 0.36 to 0.39 (example: Rutger Hautland), some others still looks too much happy/cheersfull to be shadowrunners (example: Redmist, Glutman), considering how much dark is the 6th world...
I hope for a general update for many of them, cause some extra time spendt to update and improove portraits will be well spendt time.

I have not encountered this cloning problem myself, nor did any of the test group. Can you remember which missions caused this problem to appear?

Also, thanks for the kudos on portraits. As mentioned, they did require a lot of time and soul to put together, heh. As for Red mist, she's a complete gun nut, so it's only understandable she's getting some jollies out of firing a full automatic assault rifle. As for Glutman, he's based on his SNES-era portrait- I think it rather fits the persona I gave him in terms of the plot in my mod, considering what transpires if you accept the side quest to meet with Glutman...

The Hiring issues appears after ending each mission (story and side ones). The NPC follow you around during free roam. I don't know if it's a Dragonfall related problem, but i doubt.

PS: didn't know that is a she. Maybe a mad grin smile will looks better. Just my two cent.
Bringing back my childhood memories to SNES Glutman i always associate him to a doublecross bastard fixer and imho Brice Cook was able to recreate that feel. And about your plot, Glutman acts like i was thinking about.
Anyway considering the last sentence, the happy face could fit too to Glutman behaviours.

      Short answer: Yes.

The mod was originally started after Dead Man's Switch, but was recently updated for Shadowrun Returns 1.1, which contained Dragonfall's new script functions.

Looks great UGC , loving the custom portraits. New and original UGC are a rare treat for this game. Unsure if im doing smthing wrong but cant seem to get past the door to the evidence locker, i entered the matrix and activated the node but no dice , dunno if its a bug or im just a fail ! But a really great UGC with loads to do and well written dialogue, one of the best ive played for sure.

Could be a bug- I'll look into it. Thanks for the input, always appreciate feedback!

      EDIT:

Ah, appears the wrong message was displayed from the secondary node- this was for the security grates that are enabled if the Lone Star base is in full alert. The third one's for the evidence lockup. Will be fixed for 0.39.
