I'm also having issues with this UGC. It seems fun and I want to keep playing, but the fog of war issue is keeping me from progressing. I've waited and ran around for 10 minutes now and the lighting won't adjust to the southern end of the outdoor map where you get the cards and fight the Lone Stars by the shipping crates, etc. I'm trying to get back to the noodle cart to possibly help me do something, but I simply can't get the NPC to show up because of the lighting issues. Also, there are issues with constantly having to rehire whenever I go in or out of an area and it's somewhat annoying; some kind of boolean to toggle when you've already hired should be enough to fix it, though.

Regardless, I want to keep playing and I like the direction (even if all the keycard stuff gets a little confusing -- would suggest just letting the player choose which they want to tackle first and disable the other NPCs -- it's just too much at once, imo), but this one issue is preventing my progress. So yeah, just touch up the lighting problems and maybe streamline the keycard thing a bit. It's simple to think the players would understand when you're making a UGC, but when you're playing it without this knowledge it can get a bit overwhelming when you have no clear direction and are talking to/making trades with a half dozen characters in quick succession.

Edit: On top of the repetitive hiring screen, it's detrimental to the player because I just wasted a bunch of nuyen (even though it seems you have a surplus) on drone healing kits for the rigger I hired, then I go into the building and it forces me to rehire everyone and I had already given the rigger the kits in his inventory, so they are lost and the money is gone. I'm sure it's just an oversight and the money isn't really an issue, but now I'm inside with one kit instead of 3 and the money is wasted.

Edit 2: And now on top of this, I'm in the Knight Errant office and accidentally clicked on myself while trying to traverse the darkness and turn-based mode went on. I cannot turn it off now. You need to address these bugs because it hinders playing and I'm sort of fed up. Great potential, but technical problems are a hindrance.

Great mod! Very slick story! Very polished. I've only played part of it, but I have some things to point out.

    %%%%%SPOILER ALERT%%%%%%

    - It would be handy if the doors on the street were somehow identified. I guess that most of them are by that odd popup, but some of them are not, like the back door to winter and the bistro.

    - Because of the story there's a maze of cards and badges etc that you need/have/don't really need/must find. You have to keep track of them for all 3 locations and I find it complicated. I'm not sure what you should do about it, though. Please do not dumb it down.

    - The fog-o'-war lights take a long time to come on sometimes. Maybe because of all your wandering mobs?

    - When you have that street battle, if you hit a bystander it initiates a seemingly interminable neutral turn to wait through.

    - I have a decker pc but I can't find warez for him anywhere. I did find one loot where I got a shield. Not really enough to challange lonestar's ice with. The QM thoughtfully provided me with a deck but it was empty!

    - Yi Liu inventory says she carries an Ares Predator in addition to her one-of-a-kind zip gun. But it won't let you equip it.

    - Knight Errant is patrolled by Lonestar??? I realize that this is probably because the guards you have to pick from all say Lonestar on their uniforms?

    - Before I entered the Knight E executive office, through the glass I could see 2 conversation bubbles floating in space. Are invisibility spells in effect?

I can't wait to play the rest! And please keep modding this story. I want more.

    -edit- I fixed some spelling.

I concur - slick, well executed, and well thought out.

One bug report for you... in the current version (0.9.4), there are a couple of item drops - I believe they were both on the main floor of Lonestar - which are pretty obviously not what they were intended to be. One's a drone turret, with no drone attached, which isn't a big deal except that it has no icon to go with it and oughtn't to be equippable by a PC; the other, more problematically, is a Cat totem selection, which obviously shouldn't be sitting around in a crate like that. Worse, if you do try to equip the latter, it shows up in your spell slots in play but in return it bumps a weapon slot without showing you that this is what's happening - which left my part-decker armed with a deck and a fist and nothing else. Oops!

Also in Lonestar, the game didn't go out of turn-based mode even after the last bad guys were down, forcing me to navigate large stretches of both the upstairs and then again of the warehouse floor in turn-based mode unnecessarily.

Fantastic work and nicely varied - keep it coming!
