The downloaded package puts the mod in \Dragonfall_Data\StreamingAssets which is incorrect and probably when it wasn't working. Manually move the 'dead_man_switch' folder to \Dragonfall_Data\StreamingAssets\ContentPacks to overwrite the files there. THEN add the art folder from Shadowrun Returns after that.

Very nice mod - great job! I do prefer the DF engine compared to HK so was very happy to see this mod. I notice the bumona kits don't do self-resurrect only work on team mates so if main character goes down, it's end of the road. Not sure if that's intentional or not. Standard DF engine does self-resurrect if I recall correctly.
Comments regarding the available gear: - There are no smartlinked weapons. May be nicer to have them. - The armor 10 trenchcoat seem to become available relatively soon after low grade armors, so there's no point buying anything else. I would probably remove that entirely and limit options to armor 8 or even 7. With implants and buffs it's relatively easy to get to 10 anyways.
Another comment on portraits: the original set is - in my view - pretty lame. Other DF mods seem to have an expanded range with some improved choices. Would it worth incorporating those?
Smartlinks are for unknown to me reasons originally unlocked at the very end of the game xD in the manor - i literally had headjack in my build and get so mad i could not compensate for my terrible aim with link
to add even more salt, final weapon does not have smartlink version
and more best Assault Rifle also does not have smartlink version
when i was making the mod i didn't really dare to change much from original, i just wanted all the engine improvements Thank you for trying the mod, i personally prefer dragonfall mechanically over HK
i don't know if i should change the mod to "remaster" the campaign as its always change to the original vision
i do see some of the changes as improvements
i just wonder if worse than i remember oddities of the game does not add the character to it
i have no problem if anybody would take the mod as base to expand the mechanics or anything like this i personally like making things better without changing how they are (if that makes sense, this mod is not the best example)

Mod only load slightly faster due to engine improvements and package management
UI from dragonfall is totally different! still similar classic style, but more manageable
