EDIT : Couple of comments as of 14-04-2020 regarding the mod and tool not working, so i tested the game again, like i did for every single patches before, even though there was no patch this time. The mod still works, so please check your Antivirus or windows, best submit the dll log to the creator of this injection tool Kaldaien on Steam. They can help you with the crashes. Here's the test :
DDSCheckerWV.exe -- use this !!! you have info for dds and you know how save files eg. dxt1 = no alfa dxt3 = with alfa if you have install "intel@ texture Works" is some difference, this add rgb enchance mod Nvidia dont use this format (if use is hidden)
You have to save them in proper formats that the game reads, you can find the file format when you dump the texture, when you click on the texture in the scroll window, on top it shows the name in the display panel with texture map and the file format, note that format for each file you are dumping, and when u edit save in the exact same format via gimp or photoshop.
Not sure if this will help anyone else, but I thought I'd post it anyway. I had the same issues with insta-crash when Special K was installed. I read through the Windows Event Viewer and found that the crash referenced a DLL from my Antirvirus program, Bitdefender.
I was able to fix this by adding an exception to Advanced Threat Defense (not the antivirus module) and I opened up a case with them. It's not getting blocked by the AV software, it must be interpreting the injection method Special K uses as "questionable" but it's oddly causing the crash instead of a logged issue.
I'm downloading all of them (including optional) then repacking them neatly with off/on screenshots. I will post the link here, you're free to integrate the all in one/screenshots.
Do you allow sharing modifications of your creations? If so, would you prefer me to post them here or as a separate mod? Kudos to you for doing the hard work!
You can contribute to the mod by an all in one screenshot with appropriate name,image and categories, and no i don't allow redistribution of mods, put your name in the screenshot for credits.
Welp, I did it. Took some serious effort, over 5 hours but I'm pretty happy with the result.
I included Special K to make it more complete as it's open source and free to redistribute. I included two versions, the popular one and the more updated compatibility version I personally use. I figure this is a nice touch as this mod appears towards the top of "most endorsed" which is where most people start. I also included basic instructions for installation, usage and tips for editing.
I did rename folders and categorize however most mods retain at least part of their original name, all edits to names were made for simplicity and in some cases to be more clear or detailed. I put parts of mods that affected Lara globally into their own subfolder for mods that have them and explained the layout in the included README. Every mod has a before/after in high resolution (1440) with all settings maxed except the wraithskin skull tattoo, I couldn't be bothered (It does have after pics though).
My main concern is that some of the textures may not have loaded for me so I'd appreciate it if you ran through the before/afters of each mod to see if they are working properly. If there are some that aren't appearing correctly please tell me which, I'll mess with the DDS format till it works properly then send you the appropriate folder to overwrite the main archive with.
I think it would be cool if we collaborated and incorporated some of my edits into the overall mod but I'd understand if you wanna keep it solo, just looking at your placements helps me with ideas for original retextures.

I did take a look at it but the previews are way too dark and it is really hard to tell what is changing, especially with Camo, Cav's base version cannot be differentiated from Cav's obscurity bundle, if u can change them with better lighting like the cave in Trial of the eagle where i take all my shots right next to the base camp and with photomode it would be great and i will upload it then.
Yeah, that's not gonna happen. It took me hours and hours to do this and get everything together, relaunching the game with each outfit added to avoid conflicts etc.
If you don't want to include it as a convenience option that's fine but I would appreciate if you pinned my post or something.

I'm having slight issues however. Currently running reshade and renamed that to ReShade64.dll which is fine however, whenever I put SpecialK into my SOTTR directory it says that it is unable to create a DirectX11 device and that my GPU needs to support D3D_ Feature_11_0 (Shader 5.0) to work. I have the latest drivers as well.
The game works and loads completely fine without SpecialK, and the message only comes when SpecialK is in the directory (with all the other files that were extracted in the zip). Do you know what possibly is the solution? Would it possibly a setting in the dxgi.ini file that I have to alter to prevent this message from occuring? DX12 is also off and textures are running at ultra.
What gpu are u running, also try to remove reshade completely, bcs to run reshade with specialk u have to use it as a plugin, better just remove the reshade completely for now from the directory, see if it still throws the same error.
Thanks for the reply, I'm running a GTX 1080. Ok I'll try removing that but will be a downside because I really wanted to capture pictures of the mod in high quality!
Hi, i love your mods,. It is possible to change the color to black for the recurve bow? And maybe black eyes? And a recolor for the trinity outfit in black? And maybe to do the desert tank top the same and the pants? When i try to put the serpet guard alternate color it doesn´t change, it is green and red. How can i fix it?
would be nice if it doesnt change my face when I get a certain outfit from the files list. now im stuck figuring out wich file i need to get rid of. and i cant open them or preview them with photoshop.
I think its the wraith skin adding a dds files for the face aswell with the outfit.
These are some outstanding texture mods but there are so many they scream out for some sort of simple mod manager ..... Something like the Forger mod for AC Odyssey that made installing and removing similar texture mods as simple as checking/unchecking a box .... I know it's not exactly the same but it could spur some ideas on how to make something similar for this game.
Things like mod manager or a gui can be done, but u can see ac has better modding tools that make such time investments for a ui installer worth it, you can swap models in ac odyssey unlike this one so i never went for a installer, its just not worth the time.

Upon editing the T.camo top and replacing the file (6CB0A1C0.dds). It just reverts back to T.Black in game.
I'm thinking I'm saving the .dds file wrong in some way.

thats the issue i was having. the culprit was 986299e8.dds
still would be nice if you placed the tattoos and face stuff seperately only
(wich you already have in the files)
not include them WITH the outfits.
