Update 2.0
I am back and the disappearing problem is fixed! And even more!
- I added a dynamic camera that switches between combos, so it reduces a lot of the de-lock on, shakiness and most of the time closed FOV. So just a good quality of life improvement.
- Added a new line of dialogue in Phase 3 (I wanted to do this in the first release of the mod, but couldn't get it to work).
- Reworked the whole of phase 3 and improved the overall consistency of it. There are still a lot of isolated bugs that are beyond my ability to fix.
- Added a new combo for phase 3.
- Changed the background again, and the corpses lying in the hidden passage.
Personal Notes
I am tired. This took a lot of time because, as I said, I made some parts from scratch again. I was pretty happy after that bastard didn't disappear anymore, it was a real relief. I decided not to end it on that note though, so I continued to make some general improvements to the mod that I thought would increase the overall quality of life. Suddenly a major part of his AI stopped working for no reason. I didn't touch that shit, nor did the problem itself make any sense. I beat my head against the wall for quite a while, and I am not lying when I say that I was close to tears at one point. I couldn't explain to myself why this was happening or how to fix it. I sat on it for a few days before finally fixing it with about 50 extra steps. It felt like I won the lottery or shit.
Anyway, I probably won't update the mod anymore in the foreseeable future, taking a little break and all. It's not like I have any mental sanity left. It was a pretty ambitious project, too ambitious to be honest. I took on more than I could handle and well...it still was a fun ride :)
The fight
There are three ways to start the fight after going up the stairs of the hidden passage. The first is to approach him slowly and wait for him to draw his sword. Since waiting so long to start the fight could be annoying after multiple tries, I decided to give him a "Surprise Attack" when you sprint towards him. Even with a different dialogue! The third option is a mix of both. A video showing all options can be found here (I used a Reshade in that video by the way.)
Notes
Great Shinobi Owl is practically completely broken, so he is good for laughs but not for a fight. Inner Father and Owl (Father) work better, but still suffer from bleed over changes. So I wouldn't recommend fighting them.
Defeating Sinister Raven Owl grants a memory, 'Memory: Sinister Raven Owl.' Like any other memory, it can be traded for a custom remnant and two attack points!. As for what the remnant says, you'll have to find out for yourself :)
This mod is not compatible with other moveset mods. If you want to use a moveset mod, you must merge them.
Custom dialogue only works in Japanese, they are skipped in all other languages. I may add support for other languages in the future.

Special Thanks
Many, many thanks to Yunia (daonjre) for creating a second mortal blade model that fits Owl perfectly, and to sekijuan for recoloring Owl's clothing. Both have their own mods and you should definitely check them out!

Final thoughts
This mod took a really, really long time. I never planned to put in so much content, but I said the same thing after I finished Genichiro Embodiment of Tomoe, so yeah, here we are...
I have to say that I am proud of what I have created. I learned a lot of new things in the process, and thanks to all the encouragement, I got through it, as painful as it might have been sometimes. I hope you y'all have fun fighting him!
