The regular version of the game is Il2cpp, which is encrypted to make the game more compatible for cross platform. The problem with it is it makes modding beyond harder because you cannot see code with il2cpp only names of fields, classes and methods.
The mono version you can actually see the c# code.
alternate-beta branch of the game. Steam -> Schedule 1 -> right click -> properties -> betas, beta prticipation -> alternate-beta
Ah, thanks for the concise reply. I am used to modding l4d, torchlight, and Bethesda games but unity has made my head roll these last few days, it feels very different in some ways and I've been a bit lost in the terminology. ty
S1API is constantly changing and updating, requiring authors to make edits to their mods to support the changes. At least what I've heard from authors that tried using it.
And I've heard that S1API doesn't fully support custom assets right now, but it's in active development, so I'm not sure if it would help with importing the models of guns or not.
I could be wrong though, look into it if you wish Mr. Voidane. I have seen independent authors achieving custom assets with IL2CPP so I know it's possible and being actively worked on by the community.
Yep it does. The only issue is how the animations through coop work. Since viewmodel and avatars have seperate animations, I havent added the custom avtar animations so when your in 3rd person or see someone else holding the AK47 it looks wacky but it works for now lol.
adding a glock, smgs like an mpx, mp7, m4, ak, and having supressors, lasers, grips,scopes, extended mags, duel mags, making them super customizable would be so cool! like rails and different hand grips too. vests, nightvision, thermal goggles or scopes
