Since you have uploaded the 1.4.0 I'm assuming you didn't find any malicious code. Would you be willing to post the code somewhere so others can also verify it is safe?
Yea no malicious code found. This is the GitHub from the original uploader so if anything changes it wasnt from my end. https://github.com/pedropmelojs/ScheduleOne-Backpack/tree/main/ScheduleOne-Backpack
I made a draft pull request to Pedro's repo with the 1.4.0 changes, as I still wanted to clean up the code, test the multiplayer syncing, and add comments for others to understand the logic better. But he completed the pull request anyway, right before transferring the project to someone else (who so far hasn't done anything with it). 1.4.0 never got released or even announced; it was just merged, right before the project disappeared. By now, I have done the multiplayer testing, and it does not work for non-host players. I'm still looking into finding a way to have it working for non-host players and use the native save system, as I believe the game's dev is working on changing the save format, and I want it to work with that as well.
There is a supposed 1.3.0 experimental version that also had host-only saving, but that worked by finding the first storage object in the world and using that for its content, which had the major issue of being possibly in use by the player as a shelf, or not even having the right amount of slots. That is why I changed the version to 1.4.0, to prevent confusion with that version.
Dunno if my file is good but i have the backpack.dll and zip from 3/30. Downloaded it April 5th. It was supposedly able to have stuff be saved. Either this file is junk or I have the last clean file before whatever went down. I have already played a few times with the file in the game so I think it works. I'm no expert though so until someone like Ryebread4 tells me it's safe I'll just use this one.
A "QUICK" jump to the NordVPN site for the virus scanner does show it's clean for what it's worth.
I have the github code of version 1.4.0 which includes saving as well. i don't see any malicious code but i didnt want to upload it untill i made for certain that there isnt anything malicious before I re compiled it.
Currently working on getting the items placed to be saved. Nothing really to tell about. I figured out a little more so i think i understand it but dont have time to work on it now. will try implementing what I found probably in a few hours.
It does not. Your 1.4.0 is an unreleased merge (which shouldn't even have been merged yet) of my w.i.p fixes for saving. It currently only saves the host's backpack data. I still need to work on the syncing of the data. I did hear the mod got taken over by someone else, but as this seems to be a re-upload I will consider that a lost cause and just continue working on it myself.
Thankfully I only downloaded tugakit backpack mod and not the froggy increased stack mod with the trojan. I was looking online about Froggy "increased stack" and "backpack mod reuploaded" mod and I was scared my account would be compromised.
