IT IS BEST TO BACK UP ALL YOUR SAVES BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES!
If you’re going to modify your save, or download a new save please make a copy of the entire Saves folder just in case.
SHOW HIDDEN FILES FIRST
Open File Explorer
Click on View > Show > Hidden items
If Hidden items is already checked, you’re good! If it’s unchecked, click it to turn it on.
To find the saves location go to:
C:\Users\*yourPCusername*\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\23183484812(random numbers)\
make a new folder on desktop and copy and paste your entire saves folder there before moving forward:
Go in to Steam and right click Schedule 1 in the library page > click properties > click general > disable steam cloud
Paste the downloaded SaveGame_2 folder into the correct location (replace the existing one if needed, assuming you don't care about that save)
*if you need to keep your savegame_2 or if you dont have a savegame_2 yet then load schedule 1 make a new save and note which number it is, from there you can change the name of the downloaded save to the respective slot # and replace the folder
After replacing your savegame_2 folder with the downloaded savegame_2 folder Launch Schedule I
Load the save and make sure the save is there.
Save the game again
Press Escape > Quit to Main Menu
Re-enable Steam Cloud
Close the game
Reopen Schedule I , Steam will show a file conflict
Choose "Use local save"
