About this mod
This mod makes all marriage candidates bi, meaning you can romance whoever you want regardless of your character's gender. Nothing else changes — no personality tweaks, no gender swaps — just full romance freedom. Same-sex marriage? Go for it. Opposite-sex marriage? That’s cool, too. Basically, everyone’s bi. Enjoy!

How It Works
This mod was created by patching the game's code to remove hardcoded restrictions on same-sex confessions and marriage. The core gameplay and character personalities remain untouched — this is purely a change to open up romance options.
How to Install
The mod is distributed as a VCDIFF patch created with xdelta3. To apply the patch, you’ll need to use either xdelta3, a GUI tool like Delta Patcher, or any other patcher compatible with vcdiff/xdelta standard. Both tools support Windows, Linux and macOS.

- Removes the gender restrictions on confessions, dating, and marriage.
- You can date and marry any of the 12 marriage candidates, no matter which gender you choose at the start.
- You can also date multiple candidates across both genders at the same time, just like in the base game, but without gender-based limits. (Yes, you can now date pretty much the entire town if you want. No judgment!)
- You will use the bathhouse that matches your chosen gender, just like in the base game. This respects your gender choice and avoids the issues found in gender swap mods, where players are forced to use the opposite gender's bathhouse.
How It Works

- No assets have been changed (yet). You still play as the gender you choose at the start of the game, and characters will treat you as that gender in most places.
- Confessions, dating, and marriage were tested and are working.
- Compatible with asset-based mods. This mod should work with any mod that changes character assets or portraits. There’s no need for gender swap mods, as this patch allows full romance freedom. It was tested with the popular "Choose Your Own Frey" mod, and no issues were found.
How to Install

Using Delta Patcher
- Make a backup of your RF4S.exe file (just in case).
- Download Delta Patcher from here and run it.
- In the Original file field, select your RF4S.exe file.
- In the XDelta patch field, select the mod’s patch file.
- Click Apply patch.
Using xdelta3
xdelta3 -d -s RF4S_original.exe rf4s_bi.xdelta RF4S.exe- - RF4S_original.exe is your original game file.
- - rf4s_bi.xdelta is the mod’s patch file.
- - RF4S.exe is the new patched executable.
Make sure to back up your original RF4S.exe before patching!
Known Issues
- Misgendering in dialogue: Some parts of the game misgender the player in spots where gendered dialogue wasn’t originally anticipated.
- Potential for unexpected behavior: The way this mod detects confession events from other events is not perfect. While nothing unusual showed up in my testing, it’s possible that this could affect other parts of the game in unexpected ways. If you notice anything strange, please report it!
- Unknown issues: Core romance features have been tested, but I haven’t had time to test every possible scenario in the game. I’ll be replaying through the entire game and noting any issues I find, but keep in mind that not everything is fully tested yet. Please report any bugs!
Future Plans
- Fixing misgendered dialogue. I plan to modify the text files to remove these issues. If possible, by adding gendered placeholders that match the rest of the game’s dialogue.
- Extend support to Newlywed and Another Episode. I’m hoping to expand the mod to cover these additional game modes in a future update.
