I'm currently working on a version of this mod that provides all monsters a drop. This will hopefully make further taming more rewarding. I'm especially focused on later game quests
Spoiler:
Show
"Tame 50 monsters" and "Give Margaret Pineapple Juice"
feel like less of a hassle and barrier respectively.
I'm making a list of changes/hex codes based off the monsters base drops and my own playthrough complaints (I have a lot. I like to complain about games I love xD) I will release the changes in a spreadsheet to give an idea of how this type of mod is made and edited with Hex editors like HxD.
But yeah! This will hopefully give decent produce for most monsters, and a few extra nice drops for fellow 'cheese' enjoyers who want an optional but gameplay-friendly way to source to RNG-heavy materials.

(Love Crystal, Round Stone, Invisible Stone, etc)
I feel like this should make leveling up monsters/townsfolk armor less of (but still a) chore. Especially for Hell Mode where that type of gameplay is required, or even on easier game versions for players who enjoy less difficult combat.
Thank you everyone for your support, it makes me very happy to hear feedback of any kind.
made myself wait until after i'd beaten the full game before downloading this and im so excited to use it! i never thought i'd see something that takes so many of my little complaints and just fixes them! you're awesome!!!!
Yo this absolutely rules, thank you so much for this--it's fantastic, thoughtful, and makes some of the game's most persistent pain points that much easier!!
huge fan of this- all of the changes seem really thoughtfully implemented, and i could totally be fooled into thinking the new creatures are official variants, they're all so creative and cute. thanks for including a patch for LPR!
That mod has specific permissions that I must wait on a reply for, but would be happy to do if they allow it. If not, I may try to make my own monster drop table down the line. With my current limited understanding of .bin files, patches requires a full manual rewrite of the base mod essentially.
Using the datamining compendium and gbatemp threads, it is possible to modify the files to your liking with a hex editor like HxD. Just be aware that your save file may react badly to .bin files being changed a lot throughout its saves. I have a tutorial in the works on my method of approaching hex editing goes so that other people can try it out too hopefully.
There are two good guides for model editing, each with their own process. Knedel's Guide was the first, it was the one I learned first so it's the one I used, but both are good tutorials Tamah's Guide came after and has more information, and allows higher quality textures It takes a bit of effort, but there are PDF's with pictures and step-by-step instructions. At some point I'd like to put out a video tutorial, but that may take a while.
