If you want to use this mod for at least the characters covered by it before updates there might be an imperfect solution:
1 - Go to the portraits folder of the game and backup the portrait files 2- Create an empty folder anywhere (desktop for example) and extract this mods portrait files in there 3- Open the GAME portrait folder again and pick the 1st file. Copy the name and use it to rename the corresponding character file of the MODDED portrait in the folder you just created. 4- Take the now RENAMED MODDED file and use it to replace the original 5- Repeat for every character
Remember that this solution is VERY crude and you are likely to encounter issues down the line. Hence the backup of OG files. I used this method myself and it seems to be working alright so far (new playthrough) but won't be able to play enough to test it more.
If you use this solution I think everyone will appreciate any additional info below :)
I tried this as soon as it updated, and Ada crashed for me immediately, So I think there might be a new face or something, or their files renamed inside the .bundle.
I see. It might be because I made a new game and didn't encounter any new content of that kind but so far every NPC seems to be working for me (have only the base area unlocked so far). I guess the only option in this case is keeping the problematic portraits vanilla until/if the mod gets updated. Thanks for sharing your results!
I had this idea too but same thing happened with me, I tried to speak to Ata and the game froze. I briefly looked for information about editing bundle files but I didn't find anything I could use, so I'm at a dead end.
Yes please, or at least a patch to fix the characters that broke? I've been using this mod for my entire playthrough, and so it's very jarring to have everyone mostly the same, but have a few outliers (Ada and Garrek)
thank you for these they are beautiful! since the new update, a few of the original characters have different file names now so they can't be replaced anymore (and obviously all the new ones but I'm sure you're aware of those hahaha), would love to see an update if its possible, thank you!! ❤️
Oh great IllustratorAiA! I kindly ask if you have any intention to update the newest characters in update 1.3 to the incredible art style your portrait mod provides?

Let's hope we get an update or some new mod shows up.
