Not loud enough compared to other vanilla Dialogs.

Nice man, this and the news anchor, would it be possible to redo Reed's voice?  the VO did okay but it's still way off from Robert DoQui.

If only the late Dan O'Herlihy was in this game but other than that great work. I recall the late Allen Stewart-Coates also tried to mimic Dan O'Herlihy's voice in that old Robocop cartoon from the 80s.

This is really superb work, thank so much for doing these. They sound sooooo much more authentic - much, much better. Any plans to do Sgt Reed and Lewis in the future?

Thanks for the feedback! And yes I’ve started on both Reed and Lewis. Reed should be fairly quick / in next week or two. Lewis may take a bit longer as there are a lot of voice lines for her.

Never thought I'd see a mod for this awesome game again. Thank you so much! Will definitely try this and the other with Casey Wong out.

I was the one who payed for and shared all the movie sound mods. I really want to do the ultimate sound mod where when you turn the game camera, you hear the original servo sounds from Robo. That would really be the icing on the cake. But unfortunately, I haven't found a modder that can do this.

Another texture correction mod would be to do Robo's hands glossy and pitch black on the RoboCop 2 armor because when under any light source, they are dark blue/navy blue, which is the wrong color. They should be glossy pitch black.

Again, thank you so much for your two mods. Kudos given, and endorsement on both.

Thanks - you definitely inspired me to do this as I figured that if it was possible to change the sound effects, then most likely there was a way to get to the voice files as well, and making the game as close to the movies as possible felt like a good challenge and opportunity.

This is one of my first forays into modding, so it's taken me some time to learn what works - especially as documentation on Unreal 5 is not yet as prolific as for 4.

To do the mod you're talking about (servo sounds on camera movement) I'm pretty sure would require editing of the game code to put in audio prompts / hooks to play a sound when the camera moves. And I'm afraid I'm not yet at the level where I've tried to do that (although may well look into it).

If you or anyone else is interested in how to do this kind of pure audio asset replacement mod though then the best guides / steps I have found (and used) to get to this point are:

      1) Principles of extracting assets using FModel and then modding in UE5 with chunks (Credit and thanks to Abbie Doobie): https://www.abbiedoobie.com/2023/10/13/modding-robocop-rogue-city-and-other-ue-5-games/

      2) Adding the Binka (the audio compression RRC uses) decoder file into Fmodel in order to convert the audio files into .wavs for editing: (Credit and thanks to 4SVal) https://github.com/4sval/FModel/discussions/422

      3) .Wav files can then just be added into the respective folder structure in UE5 and the default compression it will use is Binka for them so that just worked thankfully

      4) The audio files for voices in RRC are in this folder path once you're in FMODEL:
      pakhunk0-Windows.utoc/game/content/sound/voiceovers/English/

There is then a large subfolder list for all characters. However - be aware that the voices for SOME CUTSCENES in the game are actually here - this confused me for a while as the voice lines are often also in the main folder above and I couldn't work out why changing them wasn't changing them in game:
      pakhunk0-Windows.utoc/game/content/sound/Robocop/Cutscenes_Audio/

And most other sound effects are in subfolders under here as well:
      pakhunk0-Windows.utoc/game/content/sound/

As a side note - I have also had success now editing textures - largely these are here:
      pakhunk0-Windows.utoc/game/content/Meshes/Characters

Saving them as .pngs from FModel, editing in GIMP or Photoshop and then re-importing into game - the key thing here is to convert the texture to a VIRTUAL TEXTURE in order for it to then show successfully in the game (Thanks to CRubino for pointing me in the right direction there).

That’s really impressive. Keep at it, friend. This RoboCop game will be the only game from that franchise that we will have for a VERY LONG time. So might as well perfect Rogue City and make it even better.

I sent a PM by the way. Would really appreciate if you read it and reply. Have a great weekend. And “stay out of trouble”. 😎
